new V-Rod interview, and she says that she not believe in Komova comeback :D also first time she not mention Mustafina LOL and yeah her new fav is Eremina, bad for Lena :( inc also new Melka and David interview www(.)mk(.)ru/sport/2017/04/26/sbornuyu-rossii-po-sportivnoy-gimnastike-ocenili-po-vysshemu-razryadu(.)html
According to Andrei, Euros is a useful starting point, but the competition at Worlds will be stronger.
Valentina says they couldâve brought other girls on the team, but Seda has a minor injury and there are problems with Daria. Their main bet for Euros was Angelina Melnikova, who shouldâve been able to perform high level gymnastics, but they canât understand whatâs going on with her. She didnât show the performances she was ready for, and they think it might be psychological. When they ask her what went wrong, Angelina says she doesnât know, so they find this very alarming.
Natalia Kapitonova has a complex personality and is an introvert, so she never says how she feels. They will deal with each gymnast after they get back, and they feel the biggest issue is them not hitting in competition despite being ready.
Elena Eremina is the only gymnast theyâre happy with. She can show difficult gymnastics and they havenât had such an original gymnast in a long time. She has the traits of Soviet gymnastics, which is exactly what they want.
They heard about Viktoria Komovaâs return plans, and theyâll gladly accept her, but they donât think it will work out. Theyâve been waiting for her a lot.
Asked what went wrong in the events before floor, Angelina said she feels like she did everyting she could, and, yes, she was asked about it, and said she doesnât know. Itâs uncomfortable for her to talk about what she feels is wrong. If itâs a physical thing, sheâll say it, because it affects her work and can be fixed, but if itâs something else , she thinks no one but herself can figure it out.
Larissa Ushakova said it might be the responsability wearing her down, or it might be overworking.
Dalaloyan and Lankin are debutants and had to prove themselves. Dynamo Moscow President, Andrei Zudin, thinks Artur is a fighter. There have been moments in the past when he was âexpelledâ and they had to wait for his internal state to change, and that did happen before the Olympics, but there was no time for him to get ready. His coach, Alexander Kalinin is young and tries his best with Artur, theyâre growing together.
Lankin has a totally different character. He had little experience going into Euros, and still did well, losing only to Dragulescu. Heâs working on AA, and like Nagornyy, has one of the most experienced coaches.
Nagornyy is emotional and impulsive. He left with a medal, but sometimes, his inability to listen to the coaches hinders him. Age might also be a factor, but they believe in him.
Beliavsky wonât give up AA. He talks about the setbacks he had, such as having to deal with kidney stones, and having to rush to the hospital in ambulance because of it, but says they talked to the doctors and everythingâs fine now. He went into Euros trying to compete without mistakes and he did not expect gold on pommels. He did not medal on high bar because he is not ready for it yet.
Russia is not boring :D now Andrey Rodionenko says that he will name the team for Euros at the board of the plane which will be going to Romania LOL tass(.)ru/sport/4115188
"The composition of the team will be definitively determined directly in the plane flying to the competitions," said Rodionenko
See, now this is a statement I actually can believe lmao
âWe still have much to see and assess without absolutely unnecessary excitement and noise.â
Still, letâs not get ahead of ourselves, thereâa always unnecessary excitement and noise, and thatâs half the fun of being a Team Russia fan.
btw in this part, Anastasia said that under the influence of the her mother she made a marriage contract and now regrets about it
Now ARod is involved in Grishina drama and hiâs right in some aspects :/ rsport(.)ru/artist_gym/20170314/1117673770(.)html
Yeah, I saw Andreiâs interview. Heâs obviously right in saying he knew nothing about the situation, but somehow, he talks about Nastya being coddled by her mother at the Round Lake compared to the other girls, as if it was her choice / requirement. They allowed it given their relationship with her coach, and I donât remember anyone except Alexandrov pointing that out at the time or being unhappy with the situation. Also, her mother giving her love and attention at RL, doesnât excuse her current actions. From what I get, he doesnât want to get too involved, saying such conflict between mother and daughter are private things.
F*ck russia it's getting worse every day, now Andrey Rodionenko says that Mustafina be back in RL gym in december 100% and that team needs her always :/ i have no word for that statement tbh rsport(.)ru/artist_gym/20170305/1117267865(.)html
Thatâs so sad⊠This is doing the same thing Romania did after 2014, freak out and call all the veterans back. I know these Nationals were bad, Iâm the first one to bitch about that, but give the younger ones some time! Aliyaâs my favorite gymnast, so obviously, Iâd like her to be back, but for fuck sake, just leave her enjoy motherhood, donât put pressure on her like that. If she wants to return, and she already said she does, great, but let her do it on her own terms!

After seeing Urazova nearly Annie Wilkes herself on vault, I see Rodionenko is still taking the health of his athletes very seriously. What a clown.
I see your point now. I mean, obviously Russia is Aliyadependent to some extent. But I didn't see much on Andrey words. He was directly asked about her and he answered it. Maybe he could've said something else like" she will come back if she pleases" or somehting but I didnt think he was pushing her to be back. And this time RUS did develop the new seniors, Lena had upgrades and somewhat decent competition and Nastya UB is so good, she's injured but I'm sure she has upgrades too etc.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but still, this is not the first time the subject of her comeback was mentioned up by the Rodionenkos. Thatâs why I said theyâre bringing this up too often. Aliya herself said sheâll come back when she feels ready, while the coaches already announced the deadline sheâs supposed to be in the gym by. Of course, this was just my take on it, everyoneâs entitled to their own opinion.
And exactly because I agree with you on the new seniors having potential is why I said they should focus more on them. Eremina and Kapitanova did well, Ilyankova showed a lovely bars set, and even Melnikova did ok sort of considering she upgraded, she needs more practice with the new skills and full routines. Well, and conditioning, but donât they all? I know Lilia doesnât fit into the new seniors category, but she did great on floor, being by far the best tumbler. My point was that in the long run, focusing on these girls would be a better idea imo.
Tbh today Andrei was more involved in "Korbut selling her medals " show then in RN :D life(.)ru/t/ĐœĐŸĐČĐŸŃŃĐž/978873/fiedieratsiia_sportivnoi_ghimnastiki_o_prodazhie_miedaliei_korbut_v_rf_eto_nie_priniato
He didnât have much to say about it, just that for Russian athletes, selling Olympic medals is not acceptable, but since Olga Korbut was a Belarussian and not a US citizen, she can do it and thatâs fine. It doesnât seem like too much drama, probably someone called him and asked him about the situation given heâs the current head coach, and he replied.
