What I tell people about kinning Rodney Copperbottom from Robots 2005: yeah the main difference in canon was that I kicked ratchet into the melter which was kind of cool.
What I don’t tell people: Ratchet grabbed onto my foot in a desperate attempt to escape and he was screaming in fear for his life and he started melting before my eyes and in a panic instead of saving him like I wanted to I kicked him off because I was terrified and everyone praised me but I sit up at 3am thinking about how I killed a guy

Spoilerish I guess?? Helluva Boss referenced Bigweld in their new episode and I’m not sure not sure how to feel about this. They also kinda gave him Ratchet’s business practices and I guess personality too. Given what he turned out to be doing the whole time sounding a lot like something Ratchet would pull. Status Post #10987: Subtitled "Robotskin" which focused on a female robot inserting a Philips shaver on the palm of her left hand.
You know, in my crisis of regret, I didn’t expect to actually revive him. Normally there’d be the horror of having defied nature, thinking of the implications, why I chose to revive him instead of an actual decent person.
But for now I am standing on the highest shelf in my lab because Ratchet is (understandably) mad at me for killing him and then bringing him back as a shell of his former self. I am desperately trying to phone Cappy because if I called the others they’d just kill him again.
Actually, I think Cappy would kill him again. I think I’ll just settle for a broom, a jetpack, and deal with him myself. Not much different from any other haywire experiment except I better be careful or I might kill him a second time. Wish me luck!
