Omg, thank you, and this is such a great ask. I really had to think about this.

Tohru: I feel like she’d like Ridley for being so, well, dragon-like. She’d also probably appreciate Bayonetta after hearing about the whole “killing angels” thing, given her own thoughts on God. If she played any other characters, she’d definitely stick to the “villains”, like Bowser or K. Rool.

Kanna: ABSOLUTELY Pichu. I mean, of course, right?

Kobayashi: Probably someone she recognizes from her childhood games, so maybe Zelda? I feel like she’d definitely steer towards the classic characters. Zelda and Link, most likely.

Elma: Palutena. I also want to make a joke about her and Kirby, but tbh I’m not sure if she would. She’d also be terrible at the game, let’s be real.

Fafnir: Whoever’s considered S-Tier at the moment. Fuckin’ tryhard.He knows all the matchups and will pick to counter whoever he’s playing against.

Takiya: Plays a variety of characters because he plays more than the others, and plays against fafnir. Hard to pick specific ones for him, but I bet he’s the kind of guy who mains a female character and gets attitude for it when he plays in local tourneys, right before he casually destroys them. Probably Peach, for that.

Lucoa: Absolutely terrible. Plays Jigglypuff and Isabelle because they’re cute. Typically runs off the edge of the screen 5 times in a row at the beginning of the match.

Shouta: Robin & Ness. Maybe also plays R.O.B. Feels too embarrassed to pick any of the girl characters. Tries to explain the rules and mechanics to other players who don’t understand them, even when he’s facing them. Just a good kid.
