I just want to know the thinking behind why shigaraki never reacted to twiceâs death.
I feel there's no answer more on the point and concise than @robotlesbianjavert's, especially just the last sentence:
Anonymous said: shigaraki died not knowing about twice
robotlesbianjavert: SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY. DID SHIGARAKI NEVER LEARN ABOUT TWICE. DID HE NEVER GET TO COMMENT ON THAT WHOLE SITUATION. like the most insane thing about the end of that "war" arc is that properly acknowledging twice's death should have completely informed shigaraki's feelings towards the heroes and to deku's. i don't even want to say attempts to reach out to him cuz deku just punched him a lot man he didn't reach out in anyway that wasn't just horikoshi making up rules for ofa. shigaraki had to be entirely ignorant about twice in order for any heroes to survive even five seconds around him.
oh oh, symbrock ghost au?
I didnât try even a little bit to stick to the sentence limit ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ oh well I had fun

It wishes it couldâve seen this planet in its prime. The other symbiotes have long since picked it clean, its native lifeforms devoured or enslaved. Only bones of cities left.
Something is stirring, though. It can hear it calling, somewhere outside of the hivemind. It follows the sound through the ruin, weaves through the trash. The hive, after all, has discarded it.
Finally, it can make out the words.
Hail Mary, full of grace ... it hears. Its sight is weaker than its hearing, but it can tell there is no living creature here. It feels cold. Cold like the lightless oceans of home, not the dry heat of this planet.
Here, it says and pulls itself together, trying to speak without alerting the hive.
What -! The cold sharpens. A greeting. It purrs at the comfort of the change in temperature, and the voice hesitates. What - who are you?
This ghost must be old, to not remember the invasion.
Symbiote, it says. Rejected by my fellows. Like you.
Like me, huh?
Yes. No others like you here. It pauses. The world has changed.
What?
Destroyed, it admits. Want to stop the hive that did it.
Hive. Your âfellowsâ.
It nods the bit of mass serving as its head. It canât see its companion, but itâs sure that he can see it. Its tentative psychic connection bleeds sincerity. I wanted out. Want to help?
God, yes. The cold flows into it, and it feels so strong it is sure that it could plunge straight through one of the hiveâs fire-walled prisons.Â
Iâm Eddie, the voice says. Guess we shouldâve done intros first.
It cannot think of a better introduction than acceptance.
nal. if you're still doing these. đ§ď¸đ§ď¸đ§ď¸i believe in you đ§ď¸đ§ď¸đ§ď¸

đđđ thank you kota thank youuuuuuu
Prisons like Tartarus, and Iron Maidens; 24/7 full body restraints, solitary confinement, induced comas and long-term sedation; the Targeted Instant Elimination Systemâ As punishments, they are not cruel and not unusual. Theyâre used around the world and has become basic detention methods. According to most governments around the world, they are not degrading; they are not inhumane. Quirks has changed the standards of what it means to be human; and thus, what indignities are considered allowable for a human to experience and suffer through has also changed... [...] When one is deemed as having lost the privilege of being called human; when one is seen as barely human at all, there are no human laws, morals, or social norms canât be suspended to contain such a beast. But it goes the other way too. If you arenât considered a person; and if you too come to not consider yourself as belonging to the group of beings called âpeopleâ, then human laws, morals, or social norms donât apply to you. Human connections and community have no meaning. Concepts like belonging, compassion, or the future do not exist. After that, there is nothing a beast such as you canât do to an actual person.
tho i have to wonder if this is angst? Or just me on a soapbox.
Well. If not, and with all the rainy cloud emojis, here's Spinner angst:
"I..." I want to follow him. I want to help him. I want to see his dream come true. I wantâ "Don't worry about it," Spinner mutters. "It's nothing important. Doesn't really matter." Because it doesn't. There's not anything to do, these are just feelings that tumble around inside of him, just dreams that he can't control until he wakes up. That's all there is and that's fine. Spinner knows the step after realization is... confession, but he won't be doing that. Confess to Shigaraki Tomura. Sounds crazy. Shigaraki doesn't have time to deal with things like romance or dating or whatever this is. Plusâ I'd been an empty shell. It's why I hate everything. Every living, breathing thing just rubs me the wrong way. Where's room for âloveâ in all that rage? Shigaraki has given the League enough proof that he tolerates them, trusts them, might even like them, that they are exempt from 'Destroy Everything', but a small quiet part of Spinner wonders. What's after annihilation? What happens when there's nothing else to destroy? Never mind that the probability some of them won't survive this apocalypse is certain enough. The thing about that rage, Spinner knows - has felt himself - is how it's fueled by grief, which itself is a bottomless black hole that can and will smother and eat away at everything. You'll never be able to get back what's lost, and whatever manages to regrow, breaking through that dead-dry ground, is never the same. Colder, smaller, uglier. It's hard. It's survival. There's only essentials and the little space left available is for very precious things. For the few special memories, for fleeting moments of peace, for wild hopes and dreams. Those dreams of Shigaraki's, Spinner will protect. For him, that's enough. Already more than he had ever hoped for.
unpopular opinion inspired by 'nothing' in particular: the kouta-deku subplot all the way back from the forest camp arc was really weak by virtue of it being deku but it got covered up by the hype fight.
I absolutely abhor the Kouta subplot and resolution! Strongly, strongly agree that itâs so weak. It was dumb. It might have reverse-developed the two characters. Just badly done. I also hate the Muscular fight as well.
So like, we start off with a simple problem: Kouta hates Heroes.
He hates Heroes because his Hero parents died in the line of duty and âleftâ him, and all he got in return was people telling him âit was an honorable deathâ and then he was shipped off to be raised by another Hero aunt who believes that platitude and also apparently thinks the boyâs âabnormalâ.
Going deeper, Kota instinctively senses some of the contradictions of superpowered-society, and he hates that too. The way Quirks are used and conceptualized, and how that ties into the labels of Heroes and Villains.
âCourse, maybe heâs just six and heâs just confused and scared and lashing out and saying things; but regardless of whether he understands it or not, the fact there is anger and dissatisfaction immediately brings up an issue specific to this HeroAca world to explore.
Anyways, the obvious solution is that he goes through an experience or two that will change his mind - he no longer hates Heroes and quirks, or at the very least, he comes to a more complex, nuanced position.
It's true we got the former - Kota is inspired and no longer hates Heroes, but the journey there was bullshit in terms of interacting with themes and narrative weight? He hates Heroes, he gets saved by a Hero who simply learned to punch harder, he's okay with Heroes. That's it????

also spinaraki asks. top 5 things that spinner and shigaraki would romantically and ridiculously argue about. go.
Ahhhhh good great transcendent ask???? Hmmm.
I want/headcanon/think Shigaraki and Spinner are the type of couple to casually argue about anything and everything, even regarding things that they ultimately agree on, because they both are pretty outspoken, stubborn, default rather crabby, and just like to grouse and complain. Shigaraki likes to tease and be obnoxious at times, which doesnât help, while Spinner can get riled up and very passionate about stuff. Also the angry sex is super fun. So!
Video games. Very obvious. Theyâll argue about gameplay, characters and themes and plot, strategies and tactics - especially the super nerdy meta? Stuff about character rankings and tiers and exploiting game mechanisms or whatnot. Shigaraki is a pro at stuff like that, super creative and bold, Spinner bit less so, but just as competitive and hard at work; I imagine they can clash a lot over issues ranging from truly interesting things worth debating about, to the dumbest technical details.
Then thereâs also just plain old arguments about whether a game is good or not, whether they should buy a game (and whoâs paying for it), whether they should play this game or that for the evening. Ultimately, though, itâs fun to argue/talk about these things, games being the interest they share that no one else in the League seems to have. Good for them, fuckinâ nerds.
Their relationship. I guess this is more of a personal headcanon/preference because I like basic emotional intelligence in my pairings, even/especially if it involves awkward conversations about the nature and details of the relationship. Still, these two are pretty introspective, self-aware, and willing to share their honest feelings straight out loud! So I can see them speaking up when really bothered and then arguing until itâs resolved (usually also after theyâre in bed, spent and satisfied.)
Choice topics maybe include: âwe should stop randomly having sex in random placesâ or âcelebrating an anniversary isnât dumbâ or âbecause youâre important to me, assholeâ. Idk, but trust me, itâs very romantic.
Whether that thing they just did was cool or not. It was objectively not. But one will insist it was, though somewhere inside his mind he vaguely also know it was dorky, but look, the cool outweigh the nerdiness; while the other really just has an issue more with the execution or some trivial aspect, even though secretly he did think it was cool, heâs only miffed he didnât do itâ instead of realizing the whole thing was entirely dumb altogether.
I think honestly they both just want to impress each other and show off, but then, hell if theyâll let each other get away with being so corny.
Are these too broad? Sorry if they are! For more specific topics...
First name basis. Okay Iâm cheating because weâve discussed before (with @stillness-in-green and @holioc iirc hi!!) but I still love it. Spinner building up the courage over months to finally call Shigaraki âTomuraâ, he planned for it, he had it scripted out, he made sure his voice was like 50% lower, deeper, all coolâ then Shigaraki, knowing full well what was happening, casually interrupts and calls him âShuuichiâ for the first time, which pretty much gives Spinner a heart attack, both from having Shigaraki use his first name and because heâs livid Shigaraki stole his moment.
I imagine theyâll still argue about that every now and then, afterwards. Smh
How to kill a man. Murder! Between the adrenaline and intimate unspoken vow of mutual secrecy and time spent together, itâs a good way to bond. Then better yet, argue over something minor to get rid of the post-murder jitters and have your mind mildly kept off the awkward, gross clean-up.
I admit, I kinda ran out of ideas here (or, got too many dumb ideas not worth writing out) but hey. These two can bicker over technique, or dumb inadvisable moves they did during the fight that couldâve put them in danger, be more careful! or whether they shouldâve killed the guy or not, whether it was the correct guy, etc. Somehow I can see Shigaraki randomly knowing more than a thing or two about fighting with blades, and so have good points to give to Spinner, who acknowledges the info but might feel defensive since hey, heâs the sword fighter here. But ultimately, maybe itâs how their attraction to each otherâs bloodlust and homicidal nature manifests out. Idk man
I love them. They fit each other well. Thanks again for the ask!!!
@robotlesbianjavert
Oh my god rlj I would Iâm so tempted but I feel like any Naruto AU post to be shown to the world demands a sketch of Spinner in a fishnet shirt to accompany it. Spinner deserves that much.
spinner ask!! if you had the control, what's an ideal plot/scene/arc/whatever you'd like to see for spinner in the story following the latest chapter
I would love love love to know more about him! Give me flashbacks that tells us about his family and his life before joining the League! Tie it into why heâs ride or die with Shigaraki and the others now and will continue to do so, harder than before too after all that has happened. Thatâs a triple whammy of potential worldbuilding, character development, and plot. đđź
Ideally, itâll come complete with images of a little Shuuichi, maybe hikikomori Shuuichi in that amazing âYOU MUST DIEâ shirt, and more mask-less Spinner, looking good in regular clothes. Ideally, thereâs a heart to heart with Shigaraki. Doesnât have to be anything ground-breaking, but a line or two full of meaning exchanged between them. Actually, letâs have him have more conversations with all members of the League, too. Plot relevant conversations, as well as fun banter.
There is also the potential Shigaraki and Spinner reunion. Just give me Spinner shouting out Shigarakiâs name, the panel a close up on his worried face when he sees Shigaraki all beaten-up. Plz.
