Utterly fucking unbelievable to do a whole episode about Dean’s IDEAL life, literally his most perfect mind palace designed to keep him in a pleasure coma, and he’s not even happy. He’s an alcoholic and he’s stealing from his mom and his brother doesn’t like him. The only person he can actually imagine himself getting along with even in a PERFECT world is the fake lady his subconscious downloaded from a beer label. He absolutely cannot conceive of a reality where he fundamentally matters to the people who are most important to him. He cannot imagine himself having a purpose that doesn’t involve killing and trauma and subjecting his body to constant violence. Literally he doesn’t believe that he can be loved unless he’s also being useful. This is an episode of television on the CW network.
