little short one today:
"Okay, so what were you trying to steal?" he asks, facing forward.
"I wasn't⊠lipgloss." Liv sounds defeated and glum, and Robert glances over at her.
"Lipgloss? Do you even wear lipgloss?"
"No, butâŠ" she looks down at her lap and picks at a loose thread in her school jumper. "Gabby said I should⊠you know, try something different. She said that boys like it."
Robert nods slowly, taking this in. "So, you skived off school to come and unsuccessfully attempt to steal a lipgloss that you don't even want?"

I've been thinking it was Ben (seeing Aaron finally move on like he had wanted) that made Rob start something up with Kev (plus the horrors but i don't wanna manifest my thoughts right now <3) but what if it was LIV
what if finding out Liv died finally made Robert realise there was no going back to the life he had before
that he either made the best he could out of his prison life or he was going to die in there. either physically from the beatings or he was going to go insane (Kev's "you saved me first" i still think it was mentally.)
And his life on the outside was lost anyway... because Aaron had moved on and now Liv was dead. He couldn't get it back even if he tried.
A collection of one-shots about the charactersâ children and future lives. Mostly fluff and slice of life themes

Robinâs eyes slowly opened and strived to adjust to the darkness of the room. He could detect small rays of sunshine peeking in from the blinds, signaling a brand-new day was upon him. He glanced over at the digital watch on his nightstand: a little past seven am. Why was he awake at seven am on a Saturday? Force of habit, he supposed.
He turned over with a grunt, determined to drift back into slumber, but after a while that proved to be a losing battle. Sighing through his nose, he once again opened his eyes, but instead of seeing nothing but darkness, that time his eyes fell upon his wifeâs sleeping form. Olivia was snoozing peacefully next to him, her body slowly raising and descending with every breath. His heart swelled as he watched his wife, as it usually did whenever he looked at her. To that day he couldnât believe how lucky he had been to find such a beautiful girl who loved him just as much as he loved her.
He moved as slowly and gently as he could in order to not wake her as he wrapped his arms around her from behind. He nuzzled her neck, taking in the sweet scent of her coconut bodywash. He wondered why he never did that anymoreâŠ
âŠbut he was reminded right away.
What happened next occurred so fast he barely had time to process it. Before he knew it, he had been flipped around and pinned down against the memory foam mattress while his arms were held tight behind his back by the very person he had attempted to embrace, who was now fully awake and straddling him. Her grip loosened immediately not a second later once she realized what she had done.
âOh my gosh, Iâm so sorry!â she yelped, rubbing his forearms in order to soothe any pain she might have caused. âYou know you canât just hug me from behind like that! It triggers my defensive reflexes!â
âA thousand apologies, officer.â He joked, wheezing slightly under weight. âIt completely slipped my mind.â
âI hope I didnât hurt you.â She said as she gently kneaded his muscles. âSometimes I just canât control my strength.â
âDonât worry, you didnât. Although I am appreciating the massage.â
He could feel himself begin to relax under her tender touch. It always amazed him how she could be so rough and fiery, yet so gentle and caring at the same time.
âYou know⊠since I have you like this, I wonderâŠâ
He didnât need to hear what else she had to say to know her intentions; he could detect her lust-filled tone a mile away. His suspicions were only confirmed when he felt her body lower towards his and her soft breath inches away from his ear.
âDoes Willy Shakes want to come out and play?â she whispered seductively into his ear, the melody of her Irish brogue causing his body to tingle.
His cheeks flushed involuntarily upon the utterance of that sentence; the one sentence that had the ability of softening every bone in his body⊠except for one.
She began to pepper his neck with kisses, which caused a moan to get stuck in his throat. He could feel his body begin to grow warm in the most pleasant way possible. Olivia always knew just how to get him going.
He managed to twist his body around and capture her lips with his own as he wrapped his arms around her torso to pull her close. She yelped in surprise and tangled her fingers in his hair as his hands snaked down towards the hem of her nightgown, slowly pulling the fabric over her thighs.
âYou rolled a two! Your archer canât just come back to life!â
âNo fair, your bard did that last time!â
They froze as they heard those voices through their bedroom walls, giving each other tired yet slightly amused looks.
âI knew we should have never allowed Bedevere to give them a Dungeons & Dragons set for their birthday.â Olivia sighed as she moved off of Robin.
âHe told me it was a good way to stimulate their imagination.â Robin stated as he pinched the bridge of his nose. âI shouldâve known better.â
They nearly jumped out of their own skins when they heard the eardrum-piercing sound of someone repeatedly punching the keys on a keyboard, follow by a high-pitched scream.
They were about to get off of the bed when their bedroom door suddenly swung open and a pair of ginger-haired fraternal twins came running into the room. The girl was the first one to climb onto the bed, clinging onto Olivia and burying her face in her lap.
âMordecai keeps cheating!â she whined as Olivia cradled her. âThen he got mad and started punching my keyboard!â
âMordecai Corbin Ferguson!â Olivia growled. âIs that any way to act towards your sister?â
âShe started it!â Mordecai pointed aggressively at his sister. âShe never plays fair! She keeps bending the rules!â
âThatâs no excuse to be mean to her.â Robin retorted.
âExactly.â Olivia concurred as she patted her daughter on the head. âAnd just for that, youâre grounded for the rest of the day.â
âWhat?!â Mordecai exclaimed. âBut thatâs not ââ
âNo buts!â Olivia nearly shouted. âNow go to your room. I need to have a serious talk with your sister.â
Mordecai stomped out of the room, muttering angrily under his breath.
âDonât you think you were a little too harsh on him?â Robin spoke up after their son was out of hearing range.
âI donât think I was harsh enough. Now, MeredithâŠâ Olivia softly addressed her daughter, who was still holding onto her. âAre you alright?â
âUh-huhâŠâ Meredith mumbled feebly, her face still firmly pressed against her motherâs lap.
âOh, sweetie⊠You should really learn how to defend yourself. Youâre almost twelve.â
âI canât. Iâm not strong enough.â
âYes, you are. Youâre much stronger than you think.â
âNo, Iâm notâŠâ
âHoney, look at me.â
Meredith slowly looked up at her mother, who smiled warmly down at her.
âDo you know why your middle name is Phoenix?â Olivia asked as she ran a hand through her daughterâs ginger locks.
âBecause Meemaw and Peepaw really like birds?â Meredith answered innocently.
âNo. Well, yesâŠâ Olivia chuckled and glanced at her husband, who just gave her a sheepish smirk. âYour grandparents really do like birds. But thereâs another reason behind your middle name.â
âThere is?â the little girl sat up, her curiosity heightened.
âYes. You see, when you were born, the doctors said you werenât breathing. They couldnât even feel your heartbeat.â
Meredithâs already large blue eyes instantly widened, and she released a surprised gasp. Olivia patted her head again to soothe her.
âThey told your dad and I that there wasnât much more they could do, but we told them to keep trying. And surely enough, you let out your first breath not long after. Your Meemaw talked us into giving you the middle name Phoenix because she said it was like you had been reborn.â
Olivia gently cupped her daughterâs cheeks and looked straight into her eyes.
âIf you were strong enough to bring yourself back to life, then youâre strong enough to face anything that comes your way.â
Meredith was silent as she processed that new information. Robin couldnât help but feel a bit nervous about how his daughter would react.
âI⊠beat death?â Meredith spoke up not long after.
âHum⊠Well, thatâs one way to put it.â Olivia stammered. âBut the point isâŠâ
âI beat death!â Meredith exclaimed, throwing her arms up excitedly as she jumped off the bed and ran out of the room chanting. âI beat death! Hey Mordecai, I beat death!â
Robin and Olivia were left in the silence of their bedroom, staring at the door through which their daughter had exited in a fit of glee. Olivia broke the silence as she laughed and shook her head.
She turned to her husband, who was just staring at her in what seemed like a strange mix of awe and infatuation.
âWhat?â she asked with a chuckle.
âYou never cease to amaze me.â Robin replied, his eyes still locked on her.
âDonât get all mushy on me, now.â She jokingly punched his arm. âIâm just being a mother.â
âAnd youâre a very fine mother, indeed.â He winked at her.
âI learned from the best. NowâŠâ
With one swift motion, she grabbed Robin by the collar of his pajamas and pulled him close. Before he knew it, he found his face mere inches away from his wifeâs, looking into her green eyes, which were now dark with desire.
"You know this girl, sir?"
"For my sins," Robert grumbles, placing his hands on his hips, "Yes, I do, she's my-"
"He's my dad," Liv says, suddenly, looking back at the officer. "You said you wanted to take me down to the station to call my parents, well, there's no need now, because he's my dad and he's here, so."
"Is that right?" the officer sneers at her, the grip on her wrist not loosening at all, and Robert reacts before he thinks it through.
"It is, actually," he says, stepping closer to the two and letting the frustration of the morning seep in to his voice, "and I'd love to know what the hell you think you're doing manhandling my daughter like that?"
Liv learns to rely on Robert

âÎow many dresses does a governess need?â
âNo, not for me. For the children. I want to make them some play clothes.â
âThe von Trapp children don't play. They march.â
Lance stifled a yawn, trying his best not to look like he was bored; not that he was anything but bored. He knew it had been his idea to invite Herbert over, since his mother was visiting her great-aunt two towns over who had suddenly fallen ill, and it had been him to suggest that Herbert should pick a movie for them to watch. He never wouldâve guessed his boyfriend would choose one of the longest, most tedious movies on the face of the Earth.
He had never been that much into musicals. Robin had tried countless times to make him understand the many wonders about musical theater, but it just wasnât his cup of tea. And he had seen that movie before, courtesy of his mother and her love for anything old-fashioned. Still, he wanted to indulge Herbert. They had been dating for a little over a month and the last thing Lance wanted was to disappoint him.
He glanced down at his boyfriend, who had at some point during the movie nuzzled against his chest. The blond had both his arms wrapped around his torso in a tight embrace, almost as if he were afraid he would disappear.
Lance couldnât help but smile fondly at him. The blond had made such a difference in his life. Herbert would always say that Lance had helped him come out of his shell and made him a better person, but Lance felt like Herbert had been the one to make him better. In a way, he had rescued him.
He gently leaned down and kissed the top of his head, Herbertâs golden curls feeling like silk against his skin. The blond lifted his gaze from the TV screen to glance up at his boyfriend, his blue irises shimmering like sapphires under the moonlight.
âWhat was that for?â asked Herbert, a playful grin across his lips.
âFor being the ray of sunshine that brightens my life every day.â He replied, immediately wondering how he had managed to come up with such a cheesy line on the spot.
It proved to have the desired effect, for soon he noticed that Herbertâs eyes had begun to tear up.
âShit, was that too much?â he began to panic. âIâm so sorry, Iâm really bad at this kind of ââ
He was silenced by Herbertâs lips crashing against his and his small hands cupping his cheeks. Lance instinctively wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, entangling his fingers into his blond locks.
âThat was the loveliest thing anyone has ever said to me.â Herbert declared as he pulled away, his cheeks now a bright shade of red.
âI meant every word.â Said Lance as he tenderly caressed the blondâs cheek. âI really ââ
âI love you.â
The otherwise chatty offensive tackle suddenly found himself speechless. His whole body went numb at the mere utterance of those three simple words, the only part of him that still possessed any feeling being his heart, which skipped a beat.
âOh dear, I hope that wasnât too soon.â Herbert muttered, mostly to himself. âIâve wanted to say it for a while, and now it just slipped ouââ
He was cut off by Lanceâs strong arms enveloping him in a tight embrace, the tightest he could manage without hurting the blondâs fragile body. Herbertâs head was pressed against his chest, and he could now hear the rapid beating of his boyfriendâs heart.
âI love you, too.â Lance whispered, his voice shaky from sudden the overload of emotions.
Herbert smiled and wrapped his arms around him, allowing the brunetâs heat to envelop his body. They exchanged another passionate kiss before settling back to their viewing positions, just in time to see Fraulein Maria begging Colonel von Trapp for some material with which to make new clothes for the children.
âI simply hate this part.â Herbert suddenly declared with a pout. âSheâs going ruin those lovely curtains!â
âYes, but she does manage to make some decent-looking clothes out of them.â Lance countered, hating himself for remembering that detail.
âI know, but the curtains!â Herbert whined playfully.
âWell, what can you do?â Lance shrugged. âThey probably didnât think that would ruin the mise en scĂšne.â
He suddenly felt Herbertâs body shudder against his own and his small hand tightly clutch his t-shirt. Lance gave him an inquisitive look, to which the blond just sat up straight and hugged his legs against his chest.
âIs something the matter?â Lance cocked a brow at his boyfriendâs sudden mood shift.
âNo, of course not!â Herbert chuckled nervously. âWhy would there be?â
âWell, itâs weird that I was just saying that taking those curtains away would ruin the mise en scĂšne, and then you ââ
Herbert bit his lip to muffle an impending whimper, hugging his legs tighter against himself.
Lance observed his boyfriend, now more confused than ever. He didnât understand what was it that he had said or done to make Herbert so uncomfortable all of a sudden. The blondâs cheeks were flushed, he was squirming uncontrollably and⊠rubbing his thighs together.
âŠoh!
âWait a minuteâŠâ Lance couldnât help but grin deviously at the sudden realization. âAm I turning you on?â
âWhat?! Donât be absurd!â Herbert exclaimed defensively, his cheeks reddening even more.
âDonât deny it! It turns you on when I speak French, doesnât it?â Lance teased, inching closer to the mortified blond.
âYouâre being ridiculous.â Herbert huffed and faced away from him.
âAlright. Then it wonât bother you if I say things likeâŠâ
Lance leaned in Herbertâs direction, stopping only when his lips were mere inches away from the blondâs ear.
ââŠomelette du fromage.â He whispered seductively into his ear.
Herbertâs whole body trembled and he had to hold onto the edge of the couch to steady himself, his fingers sinking into the upholstery with such force that his knuckles whitened. Lance took advantage of the closeness between them to pepper Herbertâs neck with kisses, occasionally nibbling at the blondâs sensitive skin, all the while uttering words in his second language.
It didnât take long until Herbert became a writhing, whimpering mess. He had to bite down on his fist to keep himself from moaning. Lance wondered just how much longer the blond would last.
âAllons enfants de la Patrâoof!â
He got his answer right away, when Herbert shoved him against the back of the couch with a strength Lance never thought he had in him. He watched wide-eyed as the blond straddled him and hungrily attacked his lips, pressing their bodies together in a desperate attempted to get as much physical contact as possible. Herbert was clutching the fabric of his t-shirt so tightly that Lance was sure it would rip in no time.
Now it was Lanceâs turn to blush. He mustâve pushed Herbert over the edge for the usually mousy boy to be acting so impulsively. It was a side of him Lance had no idea existed. It was bold, confident⊠and oh, so sexy.
When Herbert pulled away, his cheeks were beet-red and he was panting as if he had just run a marathon. Lance could see lust in his half-lidded eyes and feel the heat emanating from his face, although that wasnât the only place he could feel heat emanating from.
The blond seductively licked his lips, an action which made Lanceâs heart throb, along with another part of his body.
âI want you.â Herbert stated, his voice dripping with desire.
Lance felt a whole new feeling wash over him like a tidal wave. It felt similar to an adrenaline rush, but somehow a lot more powerful. It made him want to do things he never imagined in wildest dreams, and he wanted to do them all to Herbert.
With this new and powerful emotion taking over all of his being, he grabbed his boyfriend by the shoulders and proceeded to kiss him in the exact same way the blond had done to him. His tongue sneaked between the Herbertâs lips and found his, the two appendages dancing together in a lustful frenzy. One of Lanceâs hands slid the fabric of Herbertâs sweater downwards to expose his milky-white shoulder, which he proceeded to attack with his mouth.
âHerbert?â he murmured as he nipped at the blondâs sensitive skin.
âHmm, yesâŠâ Herbert moaned, although Lance wasnât completely certain if had been an actual response or just a vocalization of his yearning.
âCan we maybe turn off the movie?â he asked, gazing up to look his boyfriend in the eyes. âIâm not sure how well Iâll be able to⊠âperformâ, with Julie Andrews singing about raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.â
Herbert gave him a wicked smirk as he pulled his sweater over his head and tossed it in the direction of the TV, where it landed right over the screen. Now they could hear the movie, but they couldnât see it.
ââŠthatâll work.â Lance gulped before Herbert pushed him into a horizontal position and proceeded to press their lips together once more.
âThanks for the lift.â Said Robin as he and Olivia exited the elevator. âOf all the days for my car to break downâŠâ
âNot a problem.â His girlfriend beamed as they walked down the corridor in the direction of Lanceâs apartment. âAlthough I donât really understand why you couldnât wait till Monday to get your outfit back.â
âI have a dress rehearsal in the morning. And besides, itâs a limited-edition Gomez Addams suit. Lance borrowed it for Halloween last year and forgot to return it.â
âGotta admire your dedication.â Olivia chuckled, making her boyfriend blush.
As they reached Lanceâs door, Robin raised a hand to knock, but stopped abruptly and his face contorted in a confused expression.
âWhatâs wrong?â Olivia inquired, cocking at a brow at his sudden halting.
âDo you hear that?â he inquired, moving closer to the door to listen more attentively.
Olivia mimicked his movement, now able to make out the music coming from inside the apartment, along with rhythmic thumping and⊠moaning?
âDo, a deer, a female deer⊠Re, a drop of golden sunâŠâ
âIs that⊠The Sound of Music?â Olivia winced.
âI believe so. Although I wouldnât know why Lance would be watching it. He hates that kind of movies.â Robin commented as he pressed his hear against the hardwood surface of the door. âAnd I certainly donât recall the von Trapp children sounding so ââ
He immediately backed away from the door as if it had some sort of contagious disease, his eyes widening and face paling as realization dawned on him.
âWe have to go.â He simply stated, causing Olivia to glare at him as if heâd gone mad.
âSeriously?â she exhaled. âYou came all this way at 10pm on a Friday, determined to get your suit back, and now youâre just gonna give uââ
Oliviaâs jaw dropped and Robin blushed furiously at the sudden outburst coming from inside the apartment. The brunetteâs astonished expression soon turned into one of amusement, a devious grin spreading across her face.
âWay to go, Herbert.â Olivia snorted as her boyfriend gave her an outraged look.
âWeâre leaving.â He insisted, grabbing hold of her hand and pulling her down the hallway in the direction of the elevator.
âThe hills are alive, alright.â She snickered.
