Big mood season 2 theories
My unsolicited and unverified theories and overall thoughts about Big Mood S2.
I feel like wrap day is the perfect opportunity to do this kind of post despite the fandom being on fire (when isnāt it, really?).
I. The release date
The 1st season was released less than a year after filming, so I expect something similar for s2. Since most of Nicolaās projects will come out in the first half of 2026, I think Big Mood might release late spring or early summer 2026. Iām not sure if thatās technically possible, but I hope so.
II. Characters
Returning characters
Iām happy Will is coming back! I love his dynamic with Eddie. While I want Maggie and Eddie to have a platonic happy ending, Iām really hoping for Will and Eddie to be endgame.
The return of Krent is interesting. I love his character - he is so funny. But he was the barman at Eddieās bar, which she decided to sell at the end of season 1. So⦠in what capacity will he return? Will there be a new bar, or will he become part of the friend group?
Also glad to see that Vanessa ā Maggieās agent will make a return. I hope that means Maggie will continue her playwriting career, and hopefully this time it will be more successful.
Also, itās interesting to note who isnāt returning (or at least isnāt listed as returning for now): among them are Eddieās brother and Jonah - thank goodness!
New characters
We know that Hannah will be playing an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney, who will be Maggieās new competition. She wrapped filming closer to the end, so I expect her character to play a more prominent role in the story.
I feel like Munroe Bergdorf and Kyran Thrax will play diva-like characters who bring chaos wherever they go.
I think Robert Lindsay will be playing Maggieās father, because in the short promotional clip, when Nicola is reading the script, she mentions her father.
Also, some of the male actors might be playing Maggieās or Eddieās love interests.
III. Plot
For plot we have this Ā short summary : at the start of Season 2, itās been a year since Maggie and Eddie last saw each other, without any contact between them. When Eddie suddenly returns for a wedding, she isnāt alone ā Maggie has competition, in the form of an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney. Maggie needs to work out if her special brand of chaos can find space in Eddieās new life, or she fears she will lose her forever.
And pap photos of Maggie, Eddie, Anya, Ryan, Owen and Whitney, where Anyaās character looks pregnant.
So I think this is the scene where they return from the wedding.
The episode will probably start with the wedding itself, where Maggie will meet Eddie and Whitney. Whose wedding it will be - perhaps a mutual friend, maybe Anya herself, or another familiar character?
And in this scene, probably after some chaos at the wedding, theyāre hungover and in a bad mood as they return to their regular lives.
As for Maggieās mental health, it looks like the episode will start with her either in a manic state or a normal state.
Probably all of this is wrong, but itās still fun to speculate.

Big Boys (Final season, 2025, UK)
Creator & Writer: Jack Rooke
Director: Jim Archer
Mini-review:
I've been putting off watching this because I wasn't ready to say goodbye yet, and I was right to do so. As always, this show can take you from laughing out loud to ugly crying in the span of a few seconds, and sometimes both at the same time. The second half gets particularly dramatic, with a finale that broke my heart in pieces, serving as a harrowing love letter to a specific character/person. But don't worry: there are plenty of laughs to be found throughout these final six episodes. It's honestly impressive how fast the show and its characters burrow into your heart, despite having only eighteen 30-minute episodes; a true testament to the talents of Jack Rooke, Jim Archer and the cast. I will be missing Big Boys with all my soul.
