had a 3hr long phone call with my best friend for the first time in forever and now my heart feels too full for my chest

I need to remind myself to be kinder to ME during this time. I’m going through a lot emotionally and mentally. Instead of being softer to myself I am more self-critical which will only hurt me in my healing process. Realizing this is my first step to the healthier & happier me. Acts of kindness towards others is only beneficial to them but I also cannot use those actions as a form of finding self-worth. It is so incredibly important that I love myself even when I do not think I am deserving of unconditional love.
