Suddenly, Christopher's hand was on Emelie's back, slowly pushing her closer and closer, until their bodies finally touched.
And then they kissed.
It started out slow, as if they needed to get reacquainted with each other again, after months apart, but their kissing quickly grew more intense as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer still. Everywhere he touched her, it burned, and she couldn't get enough of the feeling of his hands on her.
She should have asked him before letting this happen, but the truth was, she didn't want to know if he was seeing someone else. All she cared about was this moment.
And then, it was shattered.
"Christopher?! I knew it, you bastard."
Christopher quickly let go of her and took a step back. Suddenly, Emelie was aware of how cold the rain was and how drenched her clothes were, uncomfortably sticking to her body. "River? I- What are you doing here?" He asked, looking like he wanted to disappear. "What am I doing here?" River retorted. "The question is, what are you doing shoving your tongue down this..." She gestured towards Emelie. "This what?" Emelie challenged, but River ignored her. "You're coming home with me. Right now," she told Christopher, and then she glared at Emelie. "And you. You stay away from my fiancƩ." Emelie stared at Christopher in disbelief. "You're engaged?!" Christopher looked ashamed, but River didn't give him a chance to reply. "Oh, so you just conveniently missed the ring on his finger, did you?" She shook her head. "I don't understand why you didn't leave this town like you were supposed to. You just had to stick around and make things harder for Christopher. He has worked so hard to get over you, but you just had to stay and ruin it all." She paused, watching her coldly. "Go back to that awful man you're living with. Judging by his reputation, the two of you truly deserve each other." She then turned back to Christopher. "Come. We're leaving."
End of fall.
