Because Bruce sees how much Tim loves his parents. How, despite them traveling a lot, that Tim gets sad because he misses them. And even more so after Janet dies, and eventually Jack later on in the story.

Because now Bruce feels responsible to do just as good with Tim. Because he knows, that even if Tim is no longer 12, but 17 (a year until he's legally an adult), the boys still a child.

A child who would hide away to grieve his mother in peace, and someone who would brood quietly after his father's death.

Bruce sees this, and feels it.

Sheer empathy.

Because he knows what it's like losing your parents as a kid.

So, as he gives Tim these awkward but warm hugs, and small praises that has Tim quietly beam, he knows it can never fully measure up to Janet and Jacks quiet but soft affection.

(Little does he know, that it does)

Imagine this:

Ace stares intensely at Bruce, as the latter gets suited up as Batman. Bruce glances over at Ace and just mumbles out:

"Lets go on a patrol, Ace."

Ace goes absolutely bananas. Both Bruce and Alfred have a hard time putting the bathound gear on the dog, because Ace is just so STOKED about going out on a patrol.

Its kinda cute.

But like with any dogowner out there, you sometimes says the magic trigger word on accident.

Something Bruce's kids discovered, whilst they were talking about their last evening patrols.

"Hrrf?"

Suddenly Ace is there, staring intensely at them.

Tim, who's closest to where Ace is, laughs nervously.

"Not now, Ace. Its the afternoon."

Ace continues to stare at them. And whines.

Later, Tim grumbles as he suits up as Red Robin, Ace barking happily in the background.

He heckin LOVES patrols.

Damian and him might not always get along. But Tim wouldn't hesitate going nuclear if Damian was hurt.

When I first watched season 1, I always wondered how it would be to add a girl into the mix. How that could work, and what kind of dynamics she would have with them and existing characters.

So, when I found out they had added one in the second season, I was really intrigued. And whilst I was disappointed that they didnt flesh out Hiromi more, I saw huge potential in her.

How do you think a group project between these three would turn out?

If she has to be a "massive bossy B*tch" like some of them puts it, then so be it.

But I also imagine that it does exhaust her to act like this. So when shes with people she trusts, like family and friends, shes more relaxed and calm.

Which is also why I imagine Tim feels both insulted and confused when someone at the Wayne industries compares his cunning office persona to his mom. To him, Janet was the sweetest and kindest mom there is.

Like, "how f*cking dare they say my mom was anything else? Assholes, every single one of them!"

Since many of them are technically from the millennial generation, they might be in their 30s to 40s now, if we consider that they were in their preteens in 1998-2001-ish.

I wonder how their lives are like... 👀✨️

Takao probably hurt his back trying to do a beyblade trick. Living the "fun" life of those in their 30s 🥲 hes probably running his family's dojo, that also works as an open place for kids to practice their beyblading.

"Let it rip- ow, my back!"

Kai is probably running his grandpas company if we go by the manga. I just know buds stocking up on coffee after pulling all nighters to fix shit.

Hiromi aged gracefully 😌✨️ no reason, just because I like her.

... but shes also probably just as stressed as Kai, and working as a manager for some company. Raging in her car after her shifts, angry at her boss for changing the deadline for something her team is working on.

(Her boss is Kai. Man knows she's angry at him, and hes sitting quietly wondering how to make her less angry).

Chief is also just as stressed, but good at managing it due to working with what he loves 🥰 creating new inventions for beyblade parts, and probably being the reason the newer beyblades have a new kind of metal.

(He is though stealing/borrowing from his bosses coffee storage after said boss changed the deadline again-)

What Max and Rei are doing as adults is something I haven't thought much about.

Max most likely created a chatroom back in 2014 that is older than Rei and Maos youngest kid. So even if they are in different countries, they see Takao complain about his back hurting, and Kai awkwardly trying to one-worded apologize to Hiromi for something. But thankfully its all smoothed over by Rei posting his weekly picture of the dinner he and Mao made, which caused the Takao to post crying emojis over not being able to eat it.

All in all, normal modern adult stuff.

Plus some other additions, like one of her parents being a higher up or CEO connected to BBA, who has put a lot of job into Hiromis studies, which is why shes ahead enough to tutor kids her age. Said parent taught her how to deal with stressful situations, how to fight back, and how to deal with people in general.

All of the above leads her to become a sorts of diplomat/unintentional manager of BBA(Bladebreakers). Since she doesn't blade, she finds herself talking to other characters whenever the others are blading, and deescalating situations that may occur if BBA accidentally did something that they shouldn't have.

(This do have her annoyed at them. But mostly Takao, because hes a passionate boy that acts first and thinks later when he senses something isn't right).

Maybe her and Mao get to know each other enough to become friends? And that Hiromi even manages to somewhat befriend Emily (who at first is dismissive of Hiromi, until she sees something that impresses her)?

With Mao, I'd like to imagine them bonding over some drama that they both decided to stop and watch outside a TV store in Beijing. The BBA had landed there just a day ago to attend the Asian tournament, and had the run in with the Baihuzu. Hiromi is tired after finding out Takao slacked around on his homework again, and Kai disappeared (again). But when she sees this overly dramatic historical drama, shes hooked.

Then, when senses someone standing beside her, she looks to the side and sees pink hair. She recognizes the person as the same one that cussed out Rei the day before. Things turn a bit awkward, until the drama hits a dramatic point. Mao gets an intense look on her face, before shes grinning as the heroine gets her justice. Hiromi reacts nearly the same way, finding this show really entertaining.

Afterwards they just naturally find a place to sit, and talk about the episode they watched. They get to know each other more, which has Hiromi realize there's other sides to the tough girl she met yesterday. She also learns, that the reason Mao loves those dramas so much, is because shes identifies herself with the betrayed heroine. Not that she experienced the same things as the heroine did in the show. But it's the feeling of being abandoned that she recognizes.

Hiromi realises it's linked to the things Mao had angrily called Rei the day before. With empathy, she realises Mao might still miss Rei, causing Hiromi to empathize with the girl.

She doesnt say this though.

Ramnling aside, I did have an idea that she mostly connected to female characters, but there's honestly so little of them. So I'd imagine she would find out background info on the BBA teams opponents, by talking to said opponents closests allies (like Enrique/Giancarlos girlfriends?). But that her polite side would make her approachable enough to have said opponents talk to her.

(Just imagine Ralf/Robert start talking to her about something mundane like the weather during that episode Takao was trying to make the Majestics fight them, which has the poor girl think "??? Uh, Okay???")
