Post Sandy, NYC is discovering the utility of the bike and that's what we're posting about here. WSJ blogs how bikes are getting ridden again in NYC after Hurricane Sandy. “I haven’t used this in like a year,” said 29-year-old Jeffrey Johnson, who works at an Internet marketing company in Manhattan. He brought his bike into Atlantic Bicycles Thursday to have a new lock put on. “But I had no choice.”
Many frequent bike commuters said that, with sparse traffic in downtown Manhattan, conditions were ideal to bike.
