These On Trend Holiday Cookies are the most popular and sought-after treats during the holiday season. Their chewy texture, rich chocolate chips, and optional crunchy nuts make them a favorite among both kids and adults. Bake a batch for your holiday gatherings or simply to indulge yourself in the festive spirit!
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 cup packed brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. 1 cup chopped nuts optional.
Instructions: Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C. Mix the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a big bowl until the mixture is smooth. Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step. Put the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, making sure to mix well after each addition. Add the chocolate chips and nuts if using and mix them in until they are spread out evenly in the dough. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets that have not been greased. After 9 to 11 minutes, the bread should be golden brown. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way. With a hot chocolate or your other favorite holiday drink, these cookies are a great treat.
