Day 18! Well it’s the 19th where I am, so this is a bit late, but what’s Inktober tradition if not having late drawings. Anyways here’s some strange living rock monsters. I think they’re apart of some folklore or something. I read about them in this encyclopedia. Really interesting stuff.
Name: Spindel and Grindel
Debut: Super Mario 64
The Thwomp family is such an expressive breed of enemy, huh! I’m not sure how to classify this emotion. He looks like he’s in an uncomfortable social situation and is trying his hardest to seem friendly. Or he’s got some really evil scheme that may or may not involve rolling back and forth.Â
Bonus enemy!Â
Name: Rhomp
Debut: Super Mario Galaxy 2
Rhomp acts a lot like Spindel, so it seemed fitting to include them. They only appear in one slide area of the entire game, but what an impression they leave! Few things are quite as pleasant as a rock with a big smiley face. Rhomp just wants to make friends, even if they accidentally squish them in the process.
