π¨π°π«£π<- this last one is rex.
I am almost done the first season of "Victorious" and have noted one thing about Rex:
Both Rex and Robbie think that Rex is not a puppet. Everybody else does, but only without Robbie in the room. I have seen ventriloquists work, but this just seems weird.
The main part is how Robbie seems to need to gain his own independence from Rex, even the guidance counselor helps him overcome that. But it's always around Rex. Then there's the fact that Rex seems to talk to Robbie even when he's not on his hand, and even seems to be coming from the direction he is in (like the guidance counselor scene). Rex and Robbie also seem to be able to sing at the same time. And everybody seems uncomfortable even when Rex is just sitting there. Not to mention that they talk to Rex like he's not part of Robbie.
Obviously, I know that it's a kid's TV show (or supposed to be, considering who directed it) and that they probably didn't think it out in terms of how ventriloquism works in person, maybe they went all out in the special effects, and also had someone doing voice overs for the puppet.
Maybe I'm seeing too much into it and overanalysing it due to how different on stage is compared to TV, but I'm starting to think Rex might actually be possessed.
What do you guys think?
Possessed or Special Effects?
