What in God’s holy name is this?!

Well, last night I kind of went on a headcanon AU rant about how RE4 left a lot of potential info but never did anything with it, namely how Salazar is actually orphaned and Saddler likely was manipulating/abusing him to gain control of everything. 

The short version: The verdugo [sic??] thingies Salazar has as bodyguards? Actually his parents, Saddler just took them/mutilated them/experimenting on them without Salazar’s knowledge, until he finally uncovers the truth and realizes everything he was told growing up was a blatant lie. Obviously realizing your parents weren’t killed but horribly experimented on and turned into slaves while the person who supposedly was your mentor and caretaker turning out to be your abuser, gaslighter, and manipulator would be devastating. And likely lil’ dude who go absolutely berserk. Thus triggering his mutation and turning into a rather nasty uncontrollable monster that wants nothing more than to kill everything in front of him. Basically his fight would be frantic, erratic, and unforgiving. If those second set of eyes come out yer in deep trouble because it’s time for phase 2 hell rage mode where the aggression and speed get amped to 11 but also his recklessness, so take advantage of that. Also since I live for suffering, i figure this transformation fueled by rage is so sudden and taxing on his system he’s actually now dying as a result, so either the player kills him off or just fights him long enough to be akin to Sif from Dark Souls: growing weaker and more agonizing as the fight goes on, until he finally gets one last chance to be with his family. His real family.
