League of legends Psychology 101
Hey folks/ponies that play league of legends Retro here to talk about the game psychology between lanes, champions, and why you should always ward lets get started.
The first thing I want to talk about is the adc and support lane. As an adc your job is to farm the creeps to get your items and kill champions that step out of line, and what i mean about "step out of line" is that they are going out of their way to try to kill you or your support. Let me say this now the whole "stepping out of line" goes to every role on your team top, mid, and jungle. Also let me emphasize that junglers and supports have the hardest jobs in the game,if I had to rank the difficulties of each role it would go something like this.
3.Top/Mid (They are both solo lanes and are interchangeable depending on certain matches)
Now lets talk about certain champions and explain why they are good, why they always need to be banned in ranked games, and why some champions just don't work nicely with others.
Let's start this off with why Blitzcrank should always be banned. Blitzcrank is the kind of champion where you don't have to be good with him or be really good at the support role, let me explain. The only thing you need to learn about playing Blitzcrank is when people are out of position for Blitz's pull, and that's it. Oh you just need to dodge his pull you say? well let me explain how everyone says that yet they always get pulled because you or your teammate stepped out of line for one moment and the next thing you know you lost cause of that one pull by Blitzcrank that lead his team to catch up and win the game.
Another champion to always ban is Malphite. Malphite is a tank and has a very good initiating ult in team fights right next to amumu's ult. But Retro all you have to do is build lastwhisper and malphite is useless....That's fine and dandy, and yes that's what you do when they have a Malphite but what about the rest of your team can they handle him? Did they buy a last whisper, are they losing their lanes because of ganks by Malphite or for Malphite? Remember this is a team game if half of your team is failing then you will have a high chance of lossing.
The next thing I really need to express is team comp and why you shouldn't try to counter pick. Team comp is essential to winning every game of League of Legends or any other game like it (Dota 2 ect.). Your team should have a good amount of crowd control abilities at least one stun, slow, snare, knock ups, pulls. Those five crowd control abilities are essential for initiating fights, escaping fights, and obviously winning those fights.
Next is why are you losing the game and why is this champion ( Input name of champion here) beating you. Some people don't check what items they have, do I need heavy armour or magic resist or a mixture of both, how many towers did they get, and where their jungler is on the map. The most strongest item in League of legends is wards, don't believe me? Then don't complain that their jungler is camping your lane because you don't ward it. Remember a ward a day keeps the junglers away! But Retro what if we do ward yet the jungler still ganks my lane....If you had warded your lane and look at your mini map ( you know that spiffy thing at the bottom right of your screen) that wouldn't have been an issue. Even if you warded and kept on pushing your lane and their jungler got a successful gank then you should look at that mini map on your screen more often , you know that thing that shows were allies and axies and pretty much everything in vision but not whats in the fog of war.
And last but not least is counter picking and why you shouldn't do it. If you are the first three picks on your team there's a slight chance that the other team might want to counter you, if they have had troubles with champion x before. Never ever try to counter their entire team the game will play very awkwardly and is not going to have you winning in 20 minuets or under 20 mins. Let me explain this last thing about counter picking. Sometimes when first pick gets countered the person getting countered will most likely change lanes about 75% of the time.
If there's anything I missed let me know I will be glad to answer, or make a couple more paragraphs about the things i've missed.
