Rest Day Blues
in the last week or so I've been getting kind of bummed out on days when I don't train. It's just because I have been stuck studying for finals, rather than getting to work on my research much. It will be much better when I get to go full-throttle into my experiments.
Ever since high school I have really failed to see the point of exams...if you want to learn, you'll learn it. I get it, accountability and all that. Sometimes you gotta do stuff you don't want to do. Times like these I try to remember how I was miserable working retail, and how relieved and thrilled I was to get into grad school after having my daughter. One kind of crappy semester's worth of coursework is a small price to pay for sure.
My back is definitely feeling yesterday's back day. In the "I worked out" way, not the injury way. I am psyched for Sunday's squats. Deadlifts are my favorite, but squat days are my favorite day now because they are the most challenging. Plus I DL sumo on squat days now...haha.
