“As long as you’ve existed.” she states, quietly blinking as if she’s not phased; although his swing in emotion right to anger did make her a bit...nervous. It was one of those things she’d rather witness from a distance, rather than straightforward.  “And you should have known me long enough to know that I’m testing your determination. Congratulations, however, I see you still have it in you and that is quite admirable.”

Maybe it was a little too daring that Eris was speaking to Zeus like this, especially after his anger had risen and he was looking upon her in such a way—but who would she be not to poke at even him?

Hyun woke to the sound of that damn bears voice over the moniter. The words the voice spoke sent chills down her spine. She barely had a chance to react before Hoshiko was banging on her door. She jumped out of bed and raced to the door, flinging it open still in shorts and a tanktop. Before she could speak, a scream - was that Addy? - filled the hallway. She grabbed Hoshiko by the arm and ran off towards the scream. “Hwan, we have to go now!” … … … not again.

Eris had her head turned to Eros, a quirked brow as she was expecting an answer—and as the answer was delivered, she was not surprised in his response. It was simply their ways, to take verbal jabs at one another whenever the opportunity produced itself. And in retaliation, she tossed him an unamused glare, although in truth she wasn’t really bothered by his answer.

“You’re quite the serious photographer, aren’t you, love?” she gently jabs back, although she had quite a bit of trust in the love god’s ability to take photos. In her mind, it seemed something right up his alley. And how was she to say no to an oh so loving fan in regards to a photoshoot? Even if it were a little too early for social interaction, at least in her book, this was Eros after all, so she wasn’t too bothered, at least.

“Why are you letting others control you? You are the god of nightmares! This is your intended purpose. And all these frightened mortals? They will forget and move on. If anything, what you’ve done will teach them how to overcome fears or suffer if they do not.” her voice is raising in response to the rise of his, but it isn’t out of anger—even if she sounds angry as she speaks, it’s a mix of frustration and worry, of all things.

Frustration over all the restrictions, the limitations on what she viewed as purely natural. Upset and worry that she had to watch one of few she considered close suffering over self conflict and constant surrounding stress.

Eris is so caught in the moment that she’s too stuck to make an early enough attempt to stop her nephew from throwing his fist into the mirror, standing still for a moment after before she’s at his side, making careful steps as to not catch any of the shards. 

“Look at me right now,” So she isn’t an expert in the whole comforting thing, but for one of her nephews she would try. Her hands raise, more gentle and dulled in touch in comparison to her bold ways, palms resting over his cheeks. “And listen to me carefully. You are not a monster. What people think of you is inevitable, but that does not mean you should believe it because the more you believe it the more it will consume you. The more it will do you harm. And you do not deserve that. You don’t deserve this.” 

“Am I not allowed to think of you as a genius?” she scoffs in mock offense, putting a hand to her chest just to be dramatic for the moment. Although the moment is short, expression quickly faltering into the neutral, calm one she typically wears before quirking a brow at his offer of topic.

“Serial killers? Mm..As mother of Phonoi and Androktasai, I would love to hear about serial killers. Whatcha’ got, my dear?”

“It would be such a shame if a harmless little water fight turned upside down, though.” there’s a mischievous smirk on her lips. Sure, it wasn’t something that could turn into bloodshed, but a fight could be softened and still be at least half amusing. “Actually, it wouldn’t be a shame at all. Soak someone in a nice outfit or full make-up for me, would you?” 

After all, there was no sense for the Goddess of Discord and Strife to play an innocent woman in front of a fellow peer. He’d likely know to well of what she was interested in.

And Eris watches Eros with interest, this water gun thing didn’t sound half bad. They couldn’t kill anyone, but oh well. However..her expression changed from one that was amused to a flicker of warning seeing the toy pointed at her as soon as it was filled, gaze checking the aim. Of course. 

“Mm, human fear is quite the delicacy isn’t it?” her words are hummed softly, the closest the woman could possibly sound to content—she could sense fear emanating from the houses closely knit together, even if it was not of her doing. But in that fact, it nearly made her envious that it wasn’t because of her.

“You know, it’s sort of sad how times have changed. I’m only assuming no one is being torn apart out there but...I miss the times were battle and bloodshed were not frowned upon. “ there’s a pause, dark eyes of her own flickering over to him—a being that other’s feared, but one she admired.
