I am collecting data for my Masters thesis on music and authenticity. It is open to anyone to participate and ALL RESULTS WILL BE ANONYMOUS.
If you have some time spare i would appreciate it if you could complete the following questionnaire and share:
Purpose: Gather insight on how people engage with music that contains themes of mental health. This is to help aid in a study. All responses
Writers and researchers of Tumblr:
Where would a person in 1600-1700s Europe purchase a pen and a pot of ink? What kind of store would sell that?
Thanks!
Research question about the novel Dracula
I am planning to write a Dracula fanfiction. The novel by Bram Stoker was published in May 1897. However, when you look at the female costumes in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (by Francis Ford Coppola, 1992), there are several bustle dresses which indicate that the story takes place maybe around 1888 or earlier. Wikipedia states there have been two periods with bustles, 1869β1876 and 1881β1888. After that, there was only a small bustle left for dresses and it disappeared entirely around 1905.
example for a bustle dress from the film, this one is worn by Mina
I researched the novel Dracula but while there are dates in it, for diary entries etc., there is no year given as far as I know. So my question is, have you by chance read anything about in what year (or decade) the story is set in? Maybe in the film "Bram Stoker's Dracula", they just made this choice for the costumes, to be able to include these voluptious gorgeous bustle dresses.
This is a very long shot but does anyone know anything about what happened to a dead soldier's things during ww2?
I saw one article about a woman in Canada receiving her son's sweater, but I'm really struggling to find anything useful telling me the process of how/if things got home

me: this is so interesting I'm so glad I'm writing my thesis about this
also me: *groans* this is the most boring topic in existence I don't want to spend another minute looking at it
i know i can't make polls but if anyone is so willing to answer, via tags magic, this is actually a real research question
there are some people, myself included, who genuinely get so excited and happy by media that it like almost makes them nauseas and they stim when they think about it (ie clapping, balling up fists, squealing, bunching up face)
are you a neurodivergent person? if so, do you have this response?
options for answers include: neurotypical/doesn't happen, neurotypical/does happen, neurodivergent/doesn't happen, and neurodivergent/does happen
myself and my masters program thank you
Quick question: moments of genuine joy in the MCU? Moments where characters are thrilled, are genuinely sparkling? Are they only in the Iron Man movies? I can only think of Iron Man movies where that happens. Can anyone come up with any other moments from other characters?
