Warnings: Death (Accidental Murder), Depression, Self-Hate, Unhealthy coping mechanisms, suicide (implicit)

Attention! I mention suicide and consequent death. Their lover committing suicide because depression. If you got any of these problems stop wasting your time online and ask help to someone you trust (or, even better, to your parents). They can help you, although they cannot be your therapists. Thatās a different role. Good Angst!
.
Authorās notes: N.f.A: I wanted to make it a bit more funny by having MC killed by Solomonās cooking but I decided not to... it would have ruined the angst part a bit.
And I decided to add Luke. Obviously in a platonic way but still... angst for him too! Because itās not like he canāt be sad. Or suffer.

Diavolo
(560 words)
He was a Prince. The next ruler of Devildom. Everything around him reminded him of that. And he really loved to tell them theyād become his Queen. His beautiful and beloved queen. But that dream shattered in pieces. They werenāt very keen to the idea of becoming a royal. They knew they were human and not well seen by demons. Sometime they also used to express this doubts to him. So that day they brought up again an old idea of theirs. What if Diavolo took a... gap year, to put it simply. A little holiday for them to spend in the human world the way they preferred. But he was too caught up in his royal life. He was a Prince and he couldnāt leave the palace or Devildom that easily. Especially for a year. He wanted to use his tiredness as an excuse but really... He just didnāt want them to blabber about it anymore. He wanted to complete his paperwork for once and leave the Councilās throne. And he got so pissed at them... He snapped for a second and when he came to his senses... They were dead. Sat on their seat. The throne he had made for them, his Queen. Their throat cut open. No more air going in their lungs. Blood slowly dripping on the velvet seat. He quickly ran at them trying to stop the bleeding and calling Barbatosā name. But no time trick could bring them back. He had asked Barbatos to not look at their future. He wanted to discover it by himself. But now he really wished he knew. He wished he knew he was going to become his belovedāsĀ killer. A whisper. A wishful whisper between tears. -Will they come back?- But no response was given. And that was enough. They werenāt going to come back. He knew they might have died, one day or another, but he had hoped to find a solution by then. The thought of him killing them with his own powers... never crossed his mind. Not even once. Of course he knew humans were fragile. He also knew he was really powerful, maybe the most powerful demon still roaming around. But he thought he was good enough. He thought he was able to control his strength enough. He had trained to become Prince and be able to hold himself back. Yet he lost control like that. He killed his Queen. He always considered himself so mighty... how could he do that!? He didnāt want to surrender. But he had to go on. Or maybe they would have preferred if he just stopped being a Prince? No. He had to make sure no one would ever forget them. His Queen. His one and only Queen... for eternity. He couldnāt allow anyone to forget their name. And he couldnāt let himself forget what he had done. The unforgivable act he had done. He begged Barbatos to keep looking for a way to fix things. And to never stop unless he found that way. And he started to order sculptures, monuments and buildings dedicated to them. No one was allowed to forget their name or their face. No one. And he... He wasnāt allowed to forget his guilt. His faults. The royal pride because of which they were dead. He couldnāt forget. And he didnāt want to.

Barbatos
(326 words)
He should have seen it coming. He really should have. And he could have. They always asked him to not peek at the future. At their future together. And in particular not at their death. They didnāt want to live with a timer. And he had decided to not look at their death. He knew he couldnāt prevent it from happening, if they were to die. He couldnāt predict it because they asked so. But now he was regretting it. He was regretting it so much. He could just have cheated like all the other times. He could have pretended not to know. But he wanted them to be happy and he respected their wish. If only he had known it would have ended like this. He wouldnāt have allowed them to enter his heart. To enter his life, even. Yet he had hoped for their love to last. For his loneliness to go away. Maybe, but he dared not say out loud, forever. They were dead instead. At his feet. By his hand. He canāt even recall what happened. And he did not wish to go back look at it. Perhaps they were mad because he skipped their date for an emergency Diavolo had. Perhaps he had done something wrong. He didnāt really know. And he didnāt even want to. He wanted to bring them back. More than anything. But he couldnāt. He had no more aces up his sleeve. No more magic tricks, as they liked to call them. He couldnāt do anything. And maybe it was a good thing. That way he couldnāt possibly do any more damage. He then kept wandering. He spent his time in two ways. Either helping and assisting Diavolo. Or wandering between timelines. Observing those where he was happy with them. Looking at the past. Looking at those calm and happy moments. Looking at them... alive. And regretting all that he did. Making sure it never happens again.

Simeon
(245 words)
āOh, you two really are a match made in heaven!ā āWhat a beautiful coupleā āWeāll be together foreverā āI love youā Ā Ā Ā āIāll always protect youā All those sentences. Said. Heard. They echoed in his head. The Celestial Realm was opposing their relationship. They didnāt want another Lilith. And Simeon didnāt intend to do that. Or so he thought. Now, looking at his belovedās lifeless body, he understood. He understood how Lilith wanted to avoid this sight. And the fact that he was the one who caused them to die... He couldnāt stand it. He knew he had no excuses. He wanted to blame the angels for pressuring him. For wanting him to choose between Father and his beloved. And at the end... Fate decided for him. No... God did. Why? Why did God end their life? Why was God making him suffer life that? Was it a punishment? For what? For loving? Wasnāt loving a duty, a right God gave himself? Why then? Simeon couldnāt understand. He refused to hear the simple explanation: āIt was in Godās designā. He had killed them. He followed Godās plan and killed them. He couldnāt stand watching their funeral. Nor he could stand going back there, in the Celestial Realm. Back where he wanted to bring and spend his life with them. So he stayed in the human world. And when the Angels asked him to go back. When they ordered him to return... He knew what to do.

Solomon
(407 words)
He was human too. He didnāt have the āIām immortal so I donāt know human limitsā excuse. Not that he wanted it anyway. He knew his spell didnāt always work, despite his great ability. And he also knew that the spell he wanted to do was a dangerous one. He had decided, together with them, to tie their fates together. It was kinda like a marriage. It would have tied their lives without the possibility of going back. That day he was a bit worried. He had heard some weird things from the demons he had pacts with. He wasnāt very focused. And he knew it. But he decided to go forward with the spell anyway. The first step was the most difficult: to find their string. And he did. So he thought he was fine enough for the rest. He just had to bring it near him without breaking it. Breaking it would have meant killing them. But once the string was near enough... It was practically done. He didnāt expect to be so distracted to pull the string with too much strength. He truly didnāt. And with that little extra pressure put on the string... They were gone. It broke in two. And then disappeared. All of the sudden they crumbled in front of his eyes. Lifeless. Solomon ran to them as fast as he could. But it was useless. They were dead already. He had killed them already. He summoned all the demons he knew, from the minor ones to Barbatos... But no one was able to fix that. No one could fix his mistake. The two of them always jokes theyād be each otherās death. Well... he now was theirs for sure. And he hated it. He had no excuses for his gesture. He couldnāt blame no one but himself. He didnāt accept the truth. Not that his tiredness and state of mind was endangering them during the spell... Nor that they were gone. He couldnāt accept it. He couldnāt go on with that guilt. And no matter how strongly those around him wanted him to live... He couldnāt. Everything he saw remembered him of you. And he couldnāt handle it. He knew he was going to die at that rate. So he decided to hurry up and try find you. He decided to go in the afterlife to look for you. With a bittersweet smile and a single word... his life ended.

Luke (platonic)
(303 words)
He never really understood human fragility. Lately his power was increasing irregularly and he often broke things. Still he thought he was starting to get a good hang of it. Thatās why he asked them to go help him. They just had to keep count of how many training puppets he could take down. Not that much. Really. And more importantly... they shouldnāt have been lying there. Dying on the floor. Lukeās feathers tainted with their blood. He had lost control of his power.Ā And he panicked when he saw how hurt they were. They wanted to shout. And he called all he knew. He picked up his DDD and dialled Simeonās number. No answer. He couldnāt leave them like that so he ignored all his thoughts about demons and called Lucifer. Then Diavolo. And Barbatos. And all the other demon brothers. He even called Mammon. But when they arrived... it was too late. He never saw a human die. But he knew that you couldnāt be alive. Your eyes were too... lifeless. Your heart wasnāt beating anymore. You had lost too much blood. He was just as bad as those demons! He had sworn to protect you. He had told you many times that demons were dangerous. But he never thought... Simeon tried to console him so many times... But it was his fault. And he then started to doubt God. If he was as Great as angels said... why would he let them die? Why? And as time passed... He fell at last. He became what he used to despise. And he actually still despised demons. And himself. He thought he was in the right place, there in Devildom. The right place for a monster like him. A monster who killed his friend. A monster who killed someone he swore to protect.
