People talk about getting proper representation in media meaning a lot to them, and I honestly don't think I ever really felt it until Käärijä and it sounds so silly to say out loud I guess, but all of the speeches he's been doing recently about body positivity. Talking about his weight and his journey with his illness.
It's honestly just so amazing seeing someone with a similar body shape to you, with the exact same illness as you who's so fuckin proud to show themselves off and talk so openly about their journey.
"I'm standing here with my little belly and and I want to say to all of you, be what you are. Show the middle fingers to all the six pack statues who say 'you really ought to go to the gym.' You dont have to."
I swear it actually makes me want to cry, he makes me so happy. If that little goth guy can do it - this little goth guy can too! 🤣❤️Sometimes being sick makes it difficult, and sometimes impossible to get active. But when I have those days I watch Käärijä videos and he makes me feel so much more positive. Especially right now when I'm moving from one really big medication to another, and things can be a bit scary! It's just so amazing seeing that if he can do it, I can <3
Representation <3
