Mattia Zoppellaro is a 38 years-old italian photographer. He has an impressive CV, his portraits and social reportages show us the world of the urban tribes and subcultures, from the metal heads, bikers, punks, ravers to football fans and religious people. His photos have been published on important magazines like XL, Photo, Colors, GQ, El Pais semanal, Rolling Stone, Mojo and NME. âDirty Dancingâ is the first project that Mattia focused on a subculture, that of rave parties. He spent ten years shooting raves across Italy and Europe. What strike us is the particularity of the subjects and the intensity of the images, which are strengthened by the use of black & white.
