#JackedKirby - Laid Out!!! 💥💥💥 One thing that Jack was known to do in his early 60s Marvel comics is utilize a similar pose for a character numerous times in the same issue. On a previous post we documented how he re-drew a Thor cover for an interior panel (go look back a few weeks... it’s there!) and we’ve noticed another instance of it from Tales of Suspense #Issue94 (published in October of 1967). 💥💥💥 In the opening splash page we see Cap being held at gunpoint by an AIM agent laid flat on his back... there is nothing really significant about this pose other then the vulnerable state Cap seems to be in. Not used to seeing him so helpless like this.... 💥💥💥 But later in the issue we find Cap in yet another “laid out” pose... he is helpless on the floor as he is being sucked through the floor. It is not exactly the same pose, but I find it very unlikely Kirby didn’t purposely repeat this “flat on the back” pose since he often had done that in the past... either way, a cool double use of “helpless” Cap in one of the final issues before the character was relaunched in his own monthly title!!! 💥💥💥 #JackKirby #Kirby #KingKirby #Cap #CaptainAmerica #TalesOfSuspense #AnthologyComics #RepeatPoses #Comic #Comics #ComicBook #ComicBooks #Helpless #60sComics #ComicsOfThe60s #IGComics #IGComicCommunity #comicsofIG #ComicsOfInstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/BuPEMd2hpoE/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xi5vwm0d06md
