No, I had no plans to.
I honestly doubt this story will go far enough for them to meet even Roger, much less other big name pirates.
I headcanon that the Roger Pirates were around some years before the Whitebeard Pirates (especially after learning Roger was older than Whitebeard), so I also headcanon them meeting in the New World. Same would go for other big names. Something in Shiki’s attitude when talking to Whitebeard in Chapter 0 made me think Shiki is older and was around perhaps some more time.

Usually, no! Our teachers get diplomas or degrees and they do placements (usually once/twice a week or two weeks at once) until they graduate.
The university I went to for teaching however had the option to do a 10 week internship, which is what I did. As far as I know, my uni is the only one which offers that :/
But I think that woman was interning for another position in the school, like wellbeing?
