the Philippines once again got visited by the strongest typhoon of the year ā Goni (locally named āRollyā) and a week later Vamco (locally referred to as āUlyssesā) struck leaving the country in waste. it was reminiscent of 2013 when super typhoon Yolanda caused loss of life, injuries and damages affecting millions. for those who like to donate, you can do so via the following:

My country, the Philippines, has been devastated by 4 typhoons and weāre mostly relying on each otherās donations and assistance. Iām making this post for anyone from other countries who might want to donate; although even signal boosting this and other posts would be really helpful!
Google Sheet of several donation drives in the PhilippinesĀ (has PayPal)
#DonationDrivesPH, a Twitter account that also shares donation drivesĀ (Please signal boost their tweets!)
Kaya Natin!, a non-government organization partnered with the Office of the Vice President of the PhilippinesĀ (has Paypal)
TheĀ Philippine Red Cross
Liyang Network, an advocacy network for Lumad women and children in the Philippines (has PayPal and Venmo)
PayPalĀ for Liyang Network
Venmo: @LiyangNetwork
UP Anna Na Cagayan, a university org of students from the Cagayan Valley region (a region affected by the typhoon)
PayPalĀ for UP Anna Na Cagayan
Anakbayan, a student organization from various universities
Fundraiser by Kyla Danielle Kwan, a journalism student from Nevada
BonfireĀ for Kyla Danielle Kwan
Additional Twitter thread of credible organizations and persons to donate to (scammers, vultures, and profiteers have a special place in hell)
Additional info:
If you want to donate to the Philippine government, GO DIRECTLY TO THE OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT! Only her office has proven to be reliable.
The most reliable organizations you can donate to are Kaya Natin! and the Philippine Red Cross
Some donation drives accept PayPal, not just the ones listed above. The Google Sheet also has a PayPal tab!
Most donation drives use local money transfer services (GCash & PayMaya) and banks (BPI, BDO, ChinaBank, Security Bank, etc.)
Western Union, MoneyGram, WorldRemit, Remitly, Transferwise are some international money transfer services that you can use to send money to the Philippines
GCash is partnered with Western Union
PayMaya is partnered with Western Union and MoneyGram
None of these money transfer services are free especially if donating from another country. However, the Philippine peso is weaker than the dollar and several other currencies, so even a small amount, even after transfer fees are deducted, is a huge help!
In the beginning of the month (November) the ph was hit by the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded in history. Then followed by 3 more typhoons. 4 typhoons and it is only the 15th November. The heavy rainfall resulted in the government's decision to release water from the Magat Dam, which supplies electricity in Metro Manila. Excess water from the dam had to be released last Friday, 13th November 2020. This was equivalent to two Olympic-sized pools per second. The TV station responsible for local news in the surrounding area was shut down (due to tyranny), therefore locals were not fully informed about the situation. Which sadly, resulted in more lives being lost.
My friend is working closely with Philippine volunteers and set up a gofundme. All proceeds will be sent to them. As a filipino living abroad, I always find it hard to discern which donation link to trust when it comes to the ph, so I am grateful my friend set this up. She has outlined more information about the situation on her gofundme page.
Thank you for taking your time reading this far. With the current climate I know how hard it is for everyone financially any donation will be appreciated. A reblog will also go a long way!
As you all know, Philippines has been affected by typhoons these past few days and many people has been affected by it, many people lost their homes and businesses, lost their loved ones. It's heart breaking to see the people suffer. Filipinos are resilient, the world knows that. But we still need help.
I am starting this fundraiser thru Project Pearls, a non-profit organization in the Philippines that will help aid the victims of the typhoon. Your donations will help provide food and temporary shelter to those people who lost their homes.
To know more about Project Pearls, please visit their official Facebook page and their official website, projectpearls.org
