This tiny pufferfish isn’t a hero. He’s not fearless, fast, or even particularly coordinated. But when life sends a strong current or a snack goes missing, he takes a deep breath, puffs up like a stress balloon, and says the one thing that gets him through:

“Daijoubu!” 大丈夫!

It’s not a magic spell. It’s not always true. But it feels good to say — like a soft, shaky promise that maybe, somehow… things will turn out okay.

This is our version of Hakuna Matata. We say “daijoubu” when everything’s a mess but we’re pretending it’s fine. We blame a Japanese kid’s song about vegetables (shout-out to Nonoka-chan!) — the way she belts daijoubu with all her heart makes us laugh, and weirdly, it stuck.

So now, it’s our comfort phrase. Silly. Honest. Hopeful. Like this little fish.
