This is how I'm feeling today. It really hit me today that I'm now 27 which means I'm closer to 30. When I thought of what 30, or close to 30, was like when I was little I thought I would be so different. I thought I would be fully established in my career, be married, have kids, have a super banging body, and be exactly what I've always wanted to be, an adult. I am far from that and I definitely don't feel like an adult. Today I'm wearing a cat t-shirt and converses to work. I feel far from what being an adult should feel like. I still can't keep up with dentist appointments and doctors appointments. I still don't understand grown up things like 401k's, insurance, or anything that sounds 'adult-y' and boring. I don't know if I will ever feel that mature. I hope I do eventually. Just thinking about it makes me feel like I would feel more grounded and stable as a person if I could be what I thought 30 was as a kid. And really I think what scares me about almost being 30 is that I would have more life experiences at this point in my life.
