Jason saying "bamboozled" unironically in his daily life and Sam wonders why he's such a dork.
Sam’s just sitting at the kitchen table, eating his cereal and in the background he hear’s Jason on the phone. He sounds pretty hype about some thing but honestly it’s too early in the morning and his brain is only functioning at 30%.Â
But then he hears something odd. Something he didn’t think he’d ever hear Jason, of all people, to say.
“- I just don’t want to get there and find out we’ve been bamboolzed!”
It takes a minute for Sam to process it but, no, his great aunt Tilly is not in the apartment. He mulls it over while he takes another bite of his cereal.Â
“ Just make sure that you got the right info.Alright?” Jason ends the call and takes a seat at the kitchen table. He stares at the ceiling until he feels himself being watched. He lowers his head stares at Sam.
“ What?”Â
“ What are you doing using a 5 dollar word like bamboozled?”
“ Because it’s a fucking awesome word. It includes all of the things I like. Bam- Punching people. Booz- Alcohol and...and...” He was trying to finish this off smooth but failing.Â
All Sam does is laugh and continue eat his cereal. Jason Todd...never a dull moment.Â
Sam having an intervention type thing for Jason about his drinking all the juice/eating all the cereal because he's had enough. Or, NONE, really because Jay keeps leaving dust crumbs and a meager splash of juice. And he pilfers leftovers, he will eat them right in front of you. He thinks cuz they're boyfriends, it's okay.
Sam and the Batfam are all facing Jason and the antihero is already feeling highly confused and a bit tense.Â
“ Babe, I think you know why were all here right?”Â
“ Uh I don’t actually,” Jason crossed his arms, stubborn.Â
Damien starts to pull out his katana, but Alfred stops him, “ Well Master Jason, it’s that you have a habit of eating foods...that aren’t your own. And it’s becoming a problem.”Â
“ A problem?”Â
“ Babe, it’s a problem because you don’t even ask. “ Sam “ You eat the cereal to dust and then put it back in the cabinet, your drink the cartons of juice until there’s a sip left [Damien: Not even a good sip!] and the leftovers....”
“ You broken into my apartment once,” Dick budded in.
“ My birthday cake!” Tim interjected. He will never forget about the birthday incident.
Bruce sees people getting antsy, “ But we’re not attacking you Jason. We’re just trying to figure out what’s caused all of this. We just want to help.”
Jason takes a moment and looks at the group in front of him. Cas leans forward and stares at Jason.Â
“ Woah, I see what you’re getting at Cassie. Okay...I’ll admit that...i might see what you guys are talking about. And I suppose I can see why you could be a little angry.”Â
Bruce looks concerned, “ Jason are you eating other people’s food because your not getting enough attention? Do you feel like we aren’t spending enough time together, as a family?”Â
“ Uh...” Jason’s not liking the weepy look in Bruce’s eye.Â
“ Master Jason, is this true?” Oh no now Alfred’s getting emotional.Â
“ I really don’t-”
“ That’s it, weekly family diners are now Saturday AND Sunday!” Bruce gets up from the couch and hugs Jason. Alfred follows, then Dick, Tim, and Cas.
Damien continues to sit because he doesn’t DO family hugs. Dick notices he’s not in on the family hug and drags him into it (he actually leaves nail marks).Â
Duke comes into the house (he was gone visiting his grandma) and is really confused as to what the hell is going on.Â
“ What...did I miss....?”
“ Family bonding/Intervention.” Sam answered.Â
“ Duke get over here. Family hug time.” Bruce called while still hugging his son.Â
“ Please. Don’t.” Damien bit out. He was squirming trying to get out.Â
“ I’m with the short stack all this earnest emotion is making me chaff.” Jason agreed.Â
“ But i like hugs....” Duke pouted.
Jason and Damien groan in unison...” Fine....make it quick.”
Duke joins in and Sam couldn’t be happier. He takes out his phone out and takes a picture.Â
Jason looks over at Sam who is smiling and mouths, “I will get you for this.”Â
“ Aw love you too babe!”Â
This will teach Jason to eat his Granny’s clobber without asking. Boyfriend or not. Nobody eats his slight of Grandma Wilson’s famous clobber.Â
