"but rat! thats not how that works! also Erik doesnt do soul mates in his contect!" shh i know. let me speak my truth. in my opinion, a soulmate is a person who changes you for the better, a person who makes you feel whole. tell me thats not how Gavin feels for freelancer? soulmates are also normaly "love at first sight", you meet this person and your life is instantly changed. look me in my eyes and say thats not what happened to Gavin, becuase he littarly said in his confection vid that he didnt know why he kept going back to them at first, he said he loved them long before he even knew he could feel that way for a person. he has felt this uncontrolable need to be with them for the momment he met them. Tell me, how many random strangers have you talked to made you feel as if you had to find them again? how many have made you need to find them again, just so you can see them again? this isnt a normal thing for him or for anyone! Freelancer is Gavin's soulmate.

but hes not their's. dont get me wrong! they are a perfect match, their relationship is perfect (in my opinion) but it doesnt change the fact freelancer has a few 'non canon' vids where we see them in equaly healthy and loving relationships with each of the DAMN bois! their is a reason the DAMN polycule is so poupular in fics and fanart, Freelancer works well with everyone of the boys. this is one, becuase they are arguably the listner with the least amout of personality (this isnt saying alot since like every listner character has a crap ton of personality to the point if you showed me a drawing of each of them with out a lable i could point out everyone correctly 85% of the time) and two, because they just dont have a soul mate. a soulmate is supposed to be a person who makes you whole, its supposed to be the only person to make you whole. freelancer can have healthy loving relationships with all of the boys, but Gavin would have never become the person he is now without Freelancer.

Lovely when they where kidnapped? They where fighting tooth and nail the whooole time. How they got out was them breaking free from Adam’s trance and electrocuting him.

Freelancer when Vega attacked? They shot at Vega, they helped to protect themselves and Caelum as much as they could with their current power, they weren’t just standing around uselessly waiting for Gavin to finish him off, when that ward protecting them feel, they fought back.

Sunshine in the basement? (This is one of my favs) they have absolutely 0 (zero) power. Nothing. They are in the perfect place to just, ‘wait and be saved’. But they don’t know they could be saved, as far as they know, Elliot hasn’t a clue they even loved him. They think the only way to get out is to follow what Blake says. but even when being a compliment captive, they are still, fighting! Every time they talk with Blake and try to get closer to him is them fighting! They are working to try and free themselves from him at all moments because as far as they know, no one is going to come looking for them.

The inversion is good because it plays on a persons fear of being useless. Every listener who’s partner is in the ward feels useless because they are useless, that’s the point, that don’t need saving, their partners do. The people needing saving are fighting with everything that have. Lovely fights, is one of the best fighters in there, and then has all that power taken away when their turned (I’ll call back to this in a bit) freelancer feels like their useless, but their not, Gavin admits later that he would have died if they didn’t help him. They comforted him when they themselves didn’t feel and comfort, they knew he needed it, and that’s incredibly powerful.

Moving on, the next conflict, porter! (Idc if their are other fights and shit in between this I wanna talk about this(:<<<) lovely punching porter! It’s honestly the cherry on the cake for lovely. They, since the beginning, have felt like “the damsel in destress”. They had to be saved by Vincent from Adam twice (him trancing them and the the kidnapping) and then they could finally protect themselves with magic, they won first place for being so powerful!! And then, the same day, they lost all of it. They where saved again. They must have felt absolutely powerless for months. Then, Porter. They meet this guy who, as far as they know, is a massive dick to their partner. So when taking to him, they punch him for being a dick. they do something about it. Sure they wasn’t a place where anyone was in real danger, but they did something with their power to protect Vincent. It’s a very nice ‘full circle’ moment for them. From having Vincent have to stick up for them at every turn (in their mind) them sucker punching Porter for Vincent is just such a nice way to wrap that up. To show that they can and will take care of themselves and others.

Well I'll fucking tell you

The motherfucking pizza Guy. I'm not talking about real life. Nah nah nah nah. I'm still talking about Redacted. Specifically Redacted Guy. When I tell you this man makes me GRIN. I'm usually pretty good at keeping a straight face when I'm listening to audios. But in the first 30 seconds of his videos he has me struggling not to laugh or smile. He's goddamn hilarious. And I love how much of a menace he is. Although I would be kicking his ass out of bed if he decided to try to help me to "relax". He loves Honey so fucking much it's adorable. I only feel somewhat lonely listening to the other audios, but when I tell you this man makes me want to forget about my last relationship and try dating again, I fucking mean it. Where can I find a boyfriend like Guy? Likes seriously, if someone knows hmtfu. And before someone says a pizzeria, it has to be Max's rustic pizzeria and wings or whatever it's called. I'm not gonna walk into little Caesars or some shit.

I love all the characters for different reasons and I could make a list of why I simp for them. (Except Marcus, fuck u. Only ur academic intelligence is attractive. ... I lied I'm a simp) but I cannot stress enough how much I FUCKING LOVE GUY! I literally would kick the shins of a guy I liked in school and be all mean because thats the way I express affection. (Bar previous relationship) Guy gets it. He knows that it's a love language and I'm not just being a bully and a genuine asshole.

Plus his voice is cute.
