Unlike Hyeon, Eben married for love right?
Hyeon did marry Peony for love (albeit it being somewhat arranged). The two genuinely loved each other and he was convinced she was the only one he could trust when his mental decided to go sky diving. It was only after he became paranoid did Peony become scared of him and his actions and falling out of love plus him murderong her after she freed his brother and wife.
Eben and Ruomei also married for love. Since Eben was the younger brother he had a bit more freedom in choosing who he could marry.
