do you ever think about how for roman it’s all about getting sent away and for shiv it’s all about getting left behind and for kendall it’s all about being kept too close.
#sometimes i think about what it must have been like for 10 or probably younger than 10 year old shiv after roman got sent to st. andrews#and it feels like getting punched in the stomach.#also#i feel like this is an unpopular opinion but i do think that shiv and roman ‘get’ eachother the most and are far more similar than people#realize.#their similarities even shine through in the moments where they fail to understand eachother because those moments are usually#accelerated/brought into fruition by their own insecurities/things they struggled to face head on.#for example i think all the roman mommy issues jokes started with shiv + logan because they were threatened by roman and caroline’s#comparably ‘normal’ and ‘caring’ parent-child relationship.#(<- particularly mother-child)#and vis versa with the jokes about shiv’s daddy issues. but for obvious reasons the ones about roman caught on with everyone else while the#ones about shiv didn’t#tldr: there's a lot of projection there#these rushed tags should have been their own post atp lol#succession#roman roy#shiv roy#kendall roy#succession text
