Spook Of The Day #114 • A family home a priest on their land to stop a haunting - the peculiar tale of Wizard’s Clippings
It’s 1794.
A stranger arrives at Middleway, a house in West Virginia, and boards there for a short time. He soon falls ill, and asks for a Catholic priest in case he dies to perform his last rites.
Theres are no catholics nearby. There are no priests to be found.
The stranger died and is buried without the Catholic service he desired.
And this is where the trouble begins.
Candles wouldn’t stay lit in the room his corpse was kept in, embers jumped from the hearth, and crockery smashing and horse galloping echoed round the house.
Then the clipping starts.
The noises of clippers were heard over the house, and each and every piece of fabric in that house had a half moon or another image cut into it.
The man of the house, Livingstone, then implored a priest to investigate and bless the house. Within hours of the blessing, the haunting lessened and good fortune such as the return of a sum of money occurred.
The paranormal activity continued until he then stationed a priest on the land and was convinced to convert to catholicism.
Now that’s how you do conversion.
Love an unexplained mystery? Then you’ll love seeing a new one everyday. Hit follow, hun.
Daily Wizards Day 362
This cool statue I got for Christmas
Sorry, everyone. I just didn't have a wizard today. This is my cheat day. I should've done this as the Christmas wizard but I had one queued up instead, so I'm just using it now. Oh well.
Oh, Ralsei is there too. I did him very early on. I got that as an extra from a Fangamer product, so he's included in the photo. Unfortunately I haven't seen the wizard statue do anything yet, but he sure is throwing things into the cauldron and reading a spell book.

Wizards of the Coast from real life
Started in Washington state in 1990, the company produces the playing cards for a multitude of the largest selling trading card games of the modern era, including Magic: The Gathering, the Pokemon TCG and also looking over Dungeons and Dragons.
These wizards have no powers other than being a corporate conglomerate that has the power over the market in terms of selling trading cards that have worth nowadays, with very minimal rivals such as Konami with the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG being not invested as much.
Daily Wizards Day 120
Martin, Great Wizard of the Gray Thicket from the CDawgVA Charity Auction 2024
82 years old and known as the master wizard of the metaverse, he was brought out to bless the staff of unnerving mysteries as DougDoug was against its initial pitch by Jerma, but was won over by Martin and his appearance.
Martin blessed the staff with a portentous, potent power. This power was sourced through different dimensions, ages and from the metaverse, giving the staff a singing heat to the touch. He did need his parking validated, showing he doesn't have easy teleportation access.
Daily Wizards Day 81
crawly_possessed from TikTok
A gnome followed by many both in person and online, his antics of showing up to retail locations and walking blatantly past employees and into restricted areas has been brought up as controversial as those workers are just doing their jobs. He is doing his as well.
This outstanding authority that may be caused by a spell is very short lasting, as he is often berated and kicked out of the establishment within mere seconds of his appearance, which makes him just as well known as he's needed to be.
