I come from a family of readers and I got so much unnecessary shame for not reading the "right" books. So stupid.
kazually murders someone after popping their eye off although you said you won't if they gave you the information you need just because they hurt the girl you have hidden feelings for
IT IS HERE! I’ve been so anxious for this book to come out ever since I saw someone say ‘YA novel in verse about Artemisia Gentileschi*’ and went HELLO YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION
*Artemisia is my FAVORITE as you guys know
BLOOD WATER PAINT by Joy McCullough is out now!
Why would an adult read fiction for teenagers? Because it possesses those fleeting qualities that are so hard to find elsewhere.
A great column on reading young adult when you're no longer quite so young. Do you still read YA as an adult?

I picked up The Last Magician before I realized it was by the same author as Unhooked. I was not a fan of Unhooked. But I already had The Last Magician in my hands, and the premise was interesting, so I decided to give it a try anyway. I’m glad I did. I’ve been transported to early twentieth century New York and the world of the Mageus. I’m intrigued by the cast of characters trying to escape the invisible prison created by the Order. Have you ever given an author a second chance with a new book/series? Were you disappointed, or glad you did?
