So I've been reading a lot this year and every now and again I get struck by Reading OCD, which is when you feel like you didn't fully absorb what the paragraph was saying so you re-read it again and again before moving on. Last night it took me two hours to finish one chapter of Crooked Kingdom and I was definitely frustrated by the end of it.
Does anyone else get this, and how do you manage it?
Could you imagine if audio versions of textbooks existed? Aka idk how I’m gonna survive this semester.
I was walking back from the library and it was Very windy and there were like 8 large tree branches on the ground and it should start to snow soon? I reaaaaally hope we have a snow day today cause it just took me 6 hours to read a 40 page chapter and I am Not in the mood.

i had to read a book for class and i reread stuff and paused to look at periods and last words of sentences and got tripped up by parenthetical citations, so i basically read the whole book twice probably, it’s terrible. i have to read an article and then write a paper on all of this and then i have to write a long midterm paper for the day after tomorrow (friday). this is why i look like someone punched me underneath both eyes, i have no time to sleep, at all. weekends are really busy, last week i have 5 papers, this week 3, next week at least 2.
