Summary:

After DC, the world keeps on turning.

Steve faces the aftermath of the fight with HYDRA and the fall of SHIELD, and tries not to lose himself in this new, empty world where Bucky Barnes is alive and doesn’t remember who he is.

Snippet:

 ’Do you still have a special gun?’

Steve clenches his jaw so hard he feels his teeth creak. He crumples the paper and the wrapping into his fist while the feeling in his throat shapes into frustration and clawing desperation— because how can he… how could Bucky ever…— and he throws the ball as far from him as he can. The paper gets stuck in the wall in front of him.

Steve feels out of breath and like he’s going to go mad. He let his head fall forward, hanging low between his shoulders, and it’s long minutes before he feels anchored once again. The living room is silent around him. Sam is still sat next to him but he hasn’t tried to say a thing, for which Steve is grateful.

“It’s from him,” Natasha says eventually.  

Steve nods. His throat is still tight.

“Why bullets?”

Steve swallows, tries to make his throat work.

“So I can shoot him with them,” he rasps.

It’s still fic rec time! this time I’m doing my fav Marvel fics, this includes the mcu and also has some non-movie ones! Mainly spider-man and daredevil!

Not Rated, many relationships but mainly good wholesome friendships! I love this fic and all of their fics! This one is told from the perspective of Brett Mahoney, Hells Kitchen cop and old friend of Foggy Nelson and now a strand of the large vigilante web. All plots and chapters are great with amazing character development.

Mature, Spideychelle, Steve x Sam. What if Cap never rescued his crew from the Raft? What if Peter was caught as a vigilante months later and sentenced to the same punishment? This was amazingly executed and deals with a lot of the issues with the Accords and how they can be fixed. Strong Michelle and Ned being best friends here and amazing characters all around.

Teen, Gen. Peter Parker’s friends and aunt know about his secret identity. But they don’t have to know about the nitty gritty details of what happens to him because of his superhero job. He has to protect them even if it means dealing with all these issues on his own. PTSD and sleeping issues are abundant in this fic as are injuries. but so very good! and i love the way the friendships are written!
