Our present era brought us very far compare way back prehistoric era in which their means of communication was through engraving figures of their life, important events happened, battles and the like on the caves to stones to tablets to walls.

According to the documentary films we watched, communication has existed in various forms and evolved from stone to web. Early handwritten documents were made in sometime after the Early Communication Methods, developed to Printing Press by Johann Gutenberg, letter writings and post mails popularised by the Americans, evolved to telegraphs, to telephones, then to radio, to televisions, cellphones, internet, and finally to social media sites.

“About Adele on ‘30′”

Famous English singer and songwriter Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (just known as Adele) has returned to the studio and has recorded her new album “30”-her fourth studio album released after six years. Her album was released on November 19, 2021-a month after she released her single “Easy on Me”. According to Genius, other than Adele herself, the writers of the songs from the album were Erroll Garner, musicians Inflo, Ludwig Göransson, producers Greg Kurstin, Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Shellback. Other musicians include Chris Dave, Joey Pecoraro, David Campbell and Serena Göransson. The sound engineers who worked on her album were also Inflo, Riley Mackin, Shawn Everett, Steve Churchyard, Tom Campbell, Alex Pasco, Brian Rajaratnam, Julian Berg, Randy Merrill, Bryce Bordone, Todd Monfalcone, Șerban Ghenea, John Hanes, Matt Scatchell, and Tom Elmhirst.

The “30” album includes twelve hits on the tracklist if not looking at the Target Exclusive tracklist. The first song is “Stranger’s By Nature”, second song is “Easy on Me”, third song is “My Little Love”, fourth song is “Cry Your Heart Out”, fifth song is “Oh My God”, sixth song is “Can I Get It”, seventh song is “I Drink Wine”, eighth song is “All Night Parking” where Erroll Garner was featured with his great piano skills, ninth song is “Woman Like Me”, tenth song is “Hold On”, eleventh song is “To Be Loved” and the twelfth and last song is “Love is a Game”. On the Target Exclusive tracklist, the order of the twelve hits is the same-the songs that follow after considering the album as the deluxe version already in order are “Wild Wild West”, “Can’t Be Together”, and the duet version of “Easy on me” that featured Chris Stapleton-consisting a total of fifteen hits. 

Each of the songs have their own meaning based on how the listener interprets the message or the lyrics of it-although the official meaning of the songs can be found on Genius some annotated by the fans and followers of the singer, and some annotated by Adele herself through interviews. Adele expresses her sincerity by being open to the listeners about the experiences and problems she has been facing recently-about her divorce with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, being famous, being a mother raising a child despite being famous, and having to deal with the pain of heartache and heartbreak and how she was able to get through it all. 

As a music lover, I have heard some of Adele’s previous albums with the help of my mother since she was the one who was mostly interested to hear Adele’s work. I was glad to know that Adele was back after a while on hiatus and I have listened to “30” alone twice on SoundCloud and Spotify and after hearing all of the songs the second time, I have realized how there are three songs on the album I was able to relate to and would play on repeat in a single day. The three songs I liked listening to are as follows-first song I liked is “Cry Your Heart Out” because of the lyrics “When I walk in a room I’m invisible, I feel like a ghost”, “I created this storm, it’s only fair I have to sit in its rain” and “When you’re in doubt, go at your own pace”, second and third songs I liked are from the deluxe version of the album “Wild Wild West”’s lyrics “From LA to San Francisco, I lost my mind in San Bernardino, even Chula Vista and Modesto, I break my heart wherever I go” and “Can’t Be Together”’s bridge “Since we were together everybody's change, our reflections in the mirror no longer look the same. And we're only just beginning to live the lives we'll make, but I will always miss you at the end of each day” and the outro “But we can't be together.. no, we won't be together”. I love how Adele was experimenting with her sound in music by changing her style a bit compared to her other albums. I would rate the album 9/10, mainly because only these three songs stood out to me even though the other songs sound great, some of the songs on the album sound a bit repetitive with the music-but that’s just my opinion and critique on it. 

Anyone can listen to Adele’s brand new album “30” as long as the songs stay uploaded for free on various music applications and websites. 

September 14, 2018. Friday. The day where we watched one of the historical films of the Philippines, GOYO: Ang Batang Heneral. This movie is actually the sequel related of the movie Heneral Luna which it tackles the story of a General named Antonio Luna and how he lead the Philippines against the Americans.  Honestly, I'm really looking forward to this movie since I watched the Heneral Luna. For me we Filipinos should pay attention to this kind of movie. Because we have the right to know what really happened in the past. Because we have the right to know what really happened in the past we should know the struggles they been through just to fight for our country. I watched this movie with my friends. While we are waiting our turn, we cannot hide the excitement knowing that the main lead actor here is Paulo Avelino which we truly admire. I got more excited thinking that i will saw him in the big screen portraying the role of Gregorio Del Pilar. 

Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral is about a young general named Gregorio Del Pilar or also known as “GOYO”. At a young age he proved that he could lead as general. He showed courage and dedication to fight for our country, for our freedom against the immigrants. He’s indeed a good general, but it really saddens me knowing that some of his deeds is not really what he wants to do, but because he is being dictated by the president Emilio Aguinaldo. he don’t want to disappoint the President, because the president gave him a high position as a general he has no choice but to follow the orders that was given to him even though it was out of his league. 

As we can see that he is very loyal to the president to the point that whatever commands the president will tell him he will immediately follow it without hesitation. For me if you are an indeed good general you must follow the orders because it is right, not just because it is ordered by someone. I can still remember in the part of the movie where the civilian called Goyo as the President’s dog which means that he will follow the order of the president no matter what happened. “ Tahol Goyo, Tahol”. The civilian kept straight to his face. 

After watching the movie GOYO: Ang Batang Heneral it left me shook and i don’t know how will i react, mixed emotions indeed. It makes me sad realizing that even though you have the potential to lead the country if you are being manipulated by other people nothing will happened. Gregorio Del Pilar is a good General indeed but i'm so disappointed in his act wherein he is being dictated on what to do and he cannot say no to it. I just realized that sometimes those who are in lower positions are the one seeing the truth, While those people who are in the right positions are being blind about the truth. Instead of helping each other to fight for our country over the Americans. We are the one who is fighting with each other, I felt so bad knowing that we ourselves are destroying our own people, our nation. We are not enemies here, but the americans who want to take our independence and country. 

But all in all the movie was great an eye opener to all of us, if you want to know about the history this movie will help you know the truth on what really happened in our history.

Arts have been one of my greatest weaknesses during my younger years here on Earth. Known for my poor penmanship shows that calligraphy is not for me, coloring books are the worst gift ever for my hand does not agree with what my head wants, crafts are the most tiring project in any art subject like all of those effort and still your work is not beautiful. Sewing and stitching is the worst subject ever.

All of this hatred are all in the past now, for I’ve learned to conquer my fears and turn this weakness into my own strength as I grow I tend to love art, studying how colors blend and with a great effort calligraphy is impossible no more, and now in my senior high school years we were tasked to create our own dresses. I was horrified for I am not friends with Mr. Needle and Mrs. Thread but with the my fairy own mother the outcome of my Carabao Feast themed National Costume was so awesome it shines, it even have horns on the side that lights up with blue and red bulbs inside which made me look so bad ass. I cannot imagine myself being able to produce something so unique and beautiful and with that being said I got as perfect score thanks to my generous contemporary arts teacher.

Reaction Paper to “This Is Not a Film”

           This is not a film was created by Jafar Panahi due to the restrictions of the government to ban all filmmaking and anything related to it and his rebellious act.

          I will be frank or honest, i thought the film was uninteresting, but that doesn't mean i dont respect the film or creation. message is the most important thing nonetheless . What matters is that I got the point of the creator, on how he got a loophole in the film ban and I thought that was very clever.

           I interpreted what he did as him proving that you can always find a way around a problem if something is your passion. I also interpreted it as a cry for help on how his life was as he was on house arrest for years, and a cry for help. The war in their country was really severe that he didn't even have the freedom to do what he is passionate about

           I can see that he is really creative as he used the resources around him and made them work to his advantage. Although they are limited, he got to show the world his message and what he wanted to say. In my opinion is that it was really innovative because other directors would just give up, unlike him. He shows confidence to what he does even if he sometimes gets frustrated and doubts himself, but i think that's always part of the process of achieving something

          His work paid off as his film reached Cannes Film Festival in Paris, France the best film festival there is if I am not mistaken. They didn't show in the film how the viewers in Cannes Film Festival reacted or if they did something to help but I hope they did. This film shows that even if something is socially unacceptable in other people's eyes it is still not wrong and you should still pursue it.

          I thought his incredible thinking really deserves an award because his perspective was really well thought of not considering how he thought to transport the usb low key by inserting it into a cake to be received by his friends in Paris. If he didn't push through with this, no one would have ever heard of what he was going through.
