BUT I’ll give a mini summary •moved out of my house I was renting and I’m THANKFUL 🌟 •living with my favorite people now and I get to see my bf everyday and that is a blessing •I have big ole life changes coming in the next month so stay tuned bc I am honestly so excited but also nervous •signed up for two big running races!!!! •work is crazy bc immigration is blowing up in the worst way so that is stressssful. and I have been sooo busy with social things which is good but I need some chill time in a big way. Hope everyone is thriving!!
Seven easy miles along the lake this morning. I may or may not be running a 1 mile race this evening haha, it starts 5 blocks from my apartment so I’ll decide once we get there 🤷♀️
40km logged this week with a combined incline of 1000m/3280ft. Cross training this morning was a leisurely walk along the beach with this gang. The mileage is slowly starting to build, and I’m trying to balance mileage with what I’m capable of doing health wise by listening to my body and not just my brain. Brain definitely wants to push further and faster, body isn’t quite ready to keep up yet. So for now it’s plugging on with heart monitors and crap, but the miles are getting done all the same 💪🏻
10K Training Week 2 Day 2
Can I just spend the rest of the day napping on these steps by the creek?

Yesterday a nice five miles up at a pretty park. Pretty much zero elevation gain which is unusual since I live on a place called “the south hill.” It was pretty and fun :) Also someone at work got me this cute pura vida bracelet because I talked about being queer???? Sometimes I do like my job I have to admit
Six recovery miles this morning. There’s nothing better than a nice, easy run to start the day off on the right foot! ☺️
Marathon training W3D3: 19 km I have this weird thing in my brain where 19 km is the cutoff for "serious scary superlong distance". Like 18 km doesn't seem like a big deal, but 19 is suddenly A Very Long Run. Maybe because it was the longest run of my half marathon training cycle? Who knows. But anyway, I was scared of this run leading up to it, but just like last week it ended up going great and didn't even feel that long. The weathet was also absolutely perfect, sunny and blue sky, but only 23 degrees C. This was my least sweaty long run in ages. I've always said that one of my favourite things about running is exploring new parts of my city. I did a couple kilometres of this run on a new street and I found this super cool pedestrian railway bridge. So that was a nice bonus!
