Again, I missed the chance to post for #rcecollectember2018 yesterday, so will post twice today. My post for day 28 is Conker: Live and Reloaded on the Xbox. For those unfamiliar with the Conker games, this title was originally released on the N64 as Conker:9's Bad Fur Day, a cutesy platforner aimed at adults, filled with crude humour, vulgar language, and movie references. It was then remade for the Xbox with updated graphics and multiplayer modes, but some censorship. Double feature today with the Pandemonium duology on the original PlayStation. Fun fact, these were developed by Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind the Tomb Raider reboot. I bought both of these together, with the intention of playing them both. I guess my sub-theme for the day is strategy games, as my post for day 21 of #rcecollectember2018 is Warsong for the Sega Genesis. Also known as Langrisser in Japan, this game's only release in the west was in the States. Apparently, however, it's getting a remake on the PS4 and Switch alongside its sequel. Not sure if I want to play the original or wait for the remake. A strategy game by the same studio that develops the Fire Emblem series. I played a sequel on the DS and loved it, now need to get around to playing this one. ...and my post for day 16 of #rcecollectember2018 is Tokyo Mirage Sessions on the Wii U. This was the main reason I bought a Wii U. I started playing it, and I liked it, but then I put it on hold to play something else - I think it was the new Fire Emblem - and I just haven't picked it back up again. I do note that it is not what I had expected, however. This is a crossover of Fire Emblem - a medieval fantasy strategy game - and Shin Megami Tensei - a JRPG about slaying demons. And the end product is a Persona game in everything but name, with a J-Pop theme. Not at all what I expected, but I'm not going to pretend it wasn't fun.
