was able to sneak in one more run of Mission 11 before bed, this time with the first Fighter aircraft you get (which is specialised in air to ground combat) and it kinda helped me make a lot more progress than usual. It helped me get to 14,000 out of 20,000 points which is pretty good, but still not enough to progress further. Maybe I have to adjust my strategy and spend some time taking down one platform, then after a set time I go back to resupplu and then go to the other enemy base that’s within a few meters from the first one, and start attacking that base to help increase my point score.

I don’t exactly have the right words to describe what’s going on in Ace Combat 7, but let’s just say even being in a penal colony and being…. expendable soldiers in a war via fighter planes, but being SO GOOD that the higher ups actually consider pardoning you for MAYBE maybe not assassinating the country’s former president and even give you your own squad which you’re put in command of and it’s like. dude I didn’t ask to be in charge of people I’m just following the mission orders even by people I dislike.

I’ve only played a few hours of Ace Combat 7, but god it’s so FUN. do I die many times and get a lot of mission fails? Yes absolutely. But I think that’s part of the experience when learning to fly the fighter jets and other combat planes in the series.

I was able to beat mission two! it took a few tries but I was able to beat it in the end. It’s just that I struggle with chasing the enemy aircraft when they make such a sharp turn., and because I’m still getting used to controls, my turning isn’t as elegant or as fast as it could be. I’m probably also haven’t learned all the intricate nuances of the gameplay system just yet either so there’s more room for my piloting skills to grow. I think I’ll play some more ace combat tomorrow because I really REALLY love the actual flying planes part and getting into semi-dog fights of sorts.
