This AU was very heavily inspired by Creepy Tour... Yes, the fnf song. Yes, I know...
When Tenna was unplugged, the resources of TV World stopped being infinite. Without a steady power source to sustain the Dark Fountain, the magic that kept the world running began to weaken. Food no longer replenished itself, Darkner magic became unreliable, and the structures of TV World started to decay. The world didn’t collapse immediately, but it was clear that, eventually, it would fall into complete instability. Tenna was fully aware of this and powerless to stop it. So he did what he could do best; survive.
(i'm sorry if this is a messy way of explaining some stuff. sobb)
Razedruins!! An AU where "TV World" (or the remains of it, which now are 'stored' in The Forgotten Land) became a dystopia where only fear, chaos and instability are the true rulers. Knowing that Dark Worlds are benefited from the Ruler itself, the downfall of Tenna's domain was bound to happen, specially when he was unplugged.
The decline began slowly. Food shortages appeared without warning, magic failed or weakened, and familiar broadcasts looped endlessly without meaning. Over time, the damage worsened as the Fountain continued to weaken. Darkners began to vanish, and parts of TV World became uninhabitable. With no power, no strong magic, and no clear purpose left to anchor him, Tenna’s mental state rapidly deteriorated. The loss of his mailman only added to his growing instability.
Shortly after Spamton escaped Tenna’s control, the decay of TV World accelerated. Spamton’s escape wasn’t just a personal betrayal; it removed one of the last functioning pieces of Tenna’s system. As the world continued to fail, Tenna became increasingly desperate to preserve what little remained. In response, he shut down TV World’s borders entirely, preventing any Darkners from leaving. What began as a desperate attempt to slow the world’s collapse soon turned into something far more dangerous.
As conditions worsened, the Darkners trapped within TV World became subject to Tenna’s needs rather than his rule. Starvation spread through the realm, including Tenna himself. His hunger—both physical and psychological—pushed him further into instability, and some of his own citizens became victims of it. By this point, Tenna blamed Spamton entirely for the downfall of his world, viewing him as the catalyst for everything that had gone wrong.
In this AU, Tenna takes on traits of an ant-mimicking spider!!! He appears thin, brittle, and deceptively harmless, but this is a façade. Like the creature he resembles, Tenna relies on deception and entrapment to survive. Though TV World lies in ruins and he is feared rather than admired, Tenna remains its ruler. Isolated, famished, and deceitful, he clings to control as the only thing preventing both himself and his world from completely falling apart
TV World is now gloomy and very very dark; Most screens around the city are turned off, and most (if not all) of the structures are broken or falling down. The surviving darkners stay hidden, only coming out when they know Tenna genuinely means no threat, although that gut feeling can't be trusted either.
I hope to be able to elaborate on this later! I'll post bits and pieces of the lore and story from time to time, as well as some character designs that I have in mind!
These were the drafts + first drawings of this AU
(i will explain more on The Fun Gang's and Tenna's relationship later. Also the Mikes! Those are some interesting critters in the lore)
alternatively, i've heard this au be called a "horror au"... I wouldn't really call it that since it doesn't affect the whole deltarune universe but just 'TV World', but we'll see...

How would your razedruins!Tenna be at a Tenna AUS Christmas party? I mean, assuming he was fed beforehand I guess. Or not!! Let him vanish the snack table and two pippins.
What kinda sweater would he wear? Who would like him? Or like any information about him actually, I love him. Please.
He would probably be the dude that everyone was trying to avoid. Nobody knows how he found out about the party, nor who actually told him to come if thats the case... He's just there for the food + to hopefully have a good time admist the chaos of his own world!
I think he'd get along with Spamcoffin!! I say this because they both have some weird murderous tendencies when it comes to not being alone/façades/keeping people close, so out of everyone I think they're the closest match. However, I'm not quite sure... I wouldn't want to go ahead and say it would be true, yanno?
He'd think everyone else at the party snacks on pippins casually, so he'd see no problem with bringing some of his spare ones to eat.
Today's subject is the Mikes! Most of them, at least. We don't really talk about Jongler.
They both hide in the Mike Room. They are part of the group of unfortunate darkners who were trapped inside the studio. Battat is usually the one that goes out to search for scraps of food and clothes and for clues of Jongler's whereabouts. Pluey stays back in case Tenna has a meltdown or needs something from him.
The job of Mike is to be Tenna's right hand. Mike is always there to help Tenna hunt other darkners. Mike is always there to serve him, and that's something Tenna appreciates.
Tenna doesn't hunt down Mike, and never will. He has no plan of using him for resources; Being Mike is a priviledge for both of them.
Ooooh Razedruins is so neat! what would happen if Tenna got plugged back in? Like, would he go through a full "reset" back to his old self, or would he keep that predatory air?
Thank you for the question!
I like the idea of having a full reset—having him destroy everything and everyone for his own survival, just to become coherent and 'normal' all of the sudden one thursday afternoon; I bet it would make some alarms go off!
But, speaking realistically, I'm sure he'd still be the same for a while.
Being plugged in again means he'd have his power source back, and eventually the whole of "TV World's" ruins would regain it's livelihood again; food sources would start functioning again, magic would stabilize, and the ruined studio spaces would regain their color and warmth The environment would become livable once more, and the sense of doom would lift.
HOWEVER, knowing that Tenna would be far too gone and used to eating others for survival, it would take him a long while to become who he was before. I've read somewhere that being a cannibal changes your ideology and mentality, and I stand by that.
Prolonged starvation, isolation, and the act of preying on his own citizens would have fundamentally altered him. Even with stability restored, those behaviors and instincts wouldn’t vanish overnight. His 'new' predatory nature wouldn’t be something he could simply switch off, especially after relying on it to survive for so long!
Tenna would never fully return to who he was before the collapse of TV World. While regaining power might allow him to become more coherent and controlled over time, the damage would linger. IF complete redemption were possible for him at all, it would be a slow and very difficult process!—one that would require confronting what he became during the ruins, rather than just acting out his perfect comeback ^_^
It's difficult to explain... I hope this answers your question!
