Young Rayne: Nyah!

Young Eda: Then let me be clear. Tonight. My place. Six o'clock. I'll cook us a nice dinner. It will be a magical evening. Sound good?

I love you for the things you are teaching me about life and all of its beauty. You would know these things much better than me, so sometimes when you catch me staring at you it is because I’m also learning; absorbing your exhales. 

As a student,  I always took every class as a competition.  I took the fact that I had to become a man to take care of my mom (in my kid head) very seriously and tried to get it done the quickest way possible. In my mind, I had to finish school and try to skip grades to get to college really fast, so that I could get a job that pays well in order to get my mom out of the factories she hunched back over for ten hour shifts on. 

And that’s what I did. I excelled. I was offered to be skipped twice in grade school. That I was too small in stature was the consensus each time, back at home. 

When I am learning,  I study intently.  Every movement of your lips,  Every sway of your hips.  Every time that we kiss,  Any night we talk shit. 

And you do.  You keep conversations light While smiling bright.  You gracefully bob and weave in and out of all rooms, Out open windows and into pitch black nights. 

Through your eyes I’m understanding the beauty of living in the now.  As my guide,  I am becoming the man  I was meant to be, somehow. 

I am thankful for you,  And I love you with all of my heart.
