Cathodic Protection Survey!

Cathodic protection is an established technique which is used to control the corrosion of a wide variety of submerged or buried metallic structures and pipelines. This technique has proved to be a cost-effective way to extend the life of a structure and to ensure integrity throughout its operating lifetime and requires regular monitoring to ensure effectiveness. 

Raychem RPG’s inspectors and engineers are globally recognized for their contributions towards cathodic protection ensuring the integrity of oil/gas pipelines and structures. This service is based on proven technology with further developed hardware and software to meet industry and legislative requirements and experienced engineers.

Benefits of Cathodic Protection  Surveys: CP Surveys monitors a system’s ability to resist corrosion and any related issues that need to be remedied before the onset of major failure.

Raychem  RPG has developed a survey team with very high technical caliber and provides  the expertise to acquire, analyze and report data as required by our  clients, while conforming to the highest safety standards. Raychem RPG also  manages an extensive database of historical data which can be used to    monitor CP trends to identify areas of interest throughout the design life of the CP systems

Health Monitoring  Survey

Underground  structures need to be checked for their healthiness, as well as, to identify  the need of protective measures for extending its life.                                                                                                             

Current Drainage Survey- The Current Drainage Survey    projects the estimated current required to protect the pipeline    effectively. Once the protective current required is known then the number of Transformer Rectifier units, weight of the Anodes, Cable lengths etc. can be worked out.

PSP Profile Survey- Analysis of the external corrosion of buried pipelines is made    using pipe-to-soil potential measurements. Pipe-to-soil potentials are   usually measured at fixed test points spaced between 1-5 km along a   pipeline.

Generation Y, defined as being born in the early 1980s through to the early 2000s, span a variety of age groups and present a unique challenge to recruiters specially in Oil and Gas industry.

During the recession of the 1980s and 1990s, the oil and gas genre suffered a drastically low influx of talented workforce. As a result, the sector is now left with two prevailing age demographics: Baby Boomers and Gen Y. With an aging Baby Boomer generation moving into retirement age; Generation Y are stepping up to fill the skills gap and so the Oil Gas industry is on the preliminary stage set to hire a new generation workforce. The next driving force for the industry is Generation Y which so far lacks the experience and skill set to lead crucial decisions related to oil and gas industry and also taking the charge of large-scale initiatives on their own. This experience gap poses a threat to the industry and its competitive edge in an ever changing, and often volatile, global marketplace. To bridge this experience gap the oil and gas companies must think of new strategies as in recruitment, training and retention.

Cathodic Protection of Marine Structures

Marine Structures: are various kinds of engineering facilities, which are constructed and installed in the ocean for marine resource exploitation and continuous development.

Such kinds of infrastructures which are generally made of concrete steel are threatened acutely by corrosion due to their continuous contact with salt water. Only coating of these marine structures with non corrosive substances is not enough so the proven technique for protecting these structures from corrosion is cathodic protection (CP).

Raychem RPG has a dedicated and specialized team for working on Concrete CP Projects and has vast experience of executing jobs for providing CP to Jetties, Piles, etc. in marine environment and hence contribute in rehabilitation of marine RCC structures.
