maybe it's just me being too much of a sjw, but making parenting tierlists with touhou characters and having tiers for abusers and child beaters is in poor taste, to put it mildly
naturally you can explore the subject of abuse in fanworks, but doing it through a slapdash silly headcanon tierlist just trivializes it and treats it like a joke
and another broader issue that's so weird to me is like. touhou is a rare phenomenon which has an almost entirely female cast of characters, many in positions of power, who get to have all sorts of conflict and story lines that don't have anything to do with family or children or other typical "female" subjects. and then its fans (even in the "progressive" side of the fandom) are obsessed with forcing every character into their shitty little wife/mom tropes and nuclear family domesticity scenarios. ran and yukari aren't wives and chen isn't their adopted daughter, ran is yukari's slave (who gets beaten for disobedience) and chen is ran's slave. clownpiece isn't junko's and hecatia's adopted child, she is hecatia's underling (albeit an especially favored one). yukari, okina, keiki, and byakuren aren't anyone's mom figures
and they all think they're so much better than the 4channer maga hat momiji type fans, yet they regurgitate the same misogyny but with a queer coat of paint
