Things I'd change for Shield Hero.
Let Aultcray be the main villain throughout the story with Malty as his right hand or at least be an overarching one. Like he's Palpatine levels of cunning and a villain that pushes Naofumi to the edge.
Rapthalia isn't a slave but instead an orphan girl who befriends him despite everything. Filo is the same but she isn't a slave as well.
The three heroes at least not be idiots as they have mixed opinions on the accusations of Naofumi. Let them defend him or be conflicted about him.
Naofumi feeling the world doesn't deserve him and wants to leave but can't.
Stick to the premise with Naofumi learning not only to trust others but realize that he can't abandon people.
