1. favorite classic novel?  

i actually really love classics (and i really need to read more of them!) but i’d have to say my favorite is the picture of dorian gray by oscar wilde! 

2. favorite novel published in the 21 century? 

the book thief by markus zusak, hands down

12. what would you like to see more of in literature in the future?

definitely more diversity and own voices novels!

14.  if you could have only three books (novels or otherwise), what would they be?

this is hard! i know for sure that i would want to take the book thief but the other two…hmm…probably don quixote by miguel de cervantes (bc its long but still really entertaining and insightful) and the last one would be extremely loud and incredibly close by johnathan safran foer (this last answer will probably change every time you ask though!) sorry the picture of dorian gray…

22.  what’s your writing process? (do you brainstorm, outline, etc.)

oh god, i think brainstorming?? usually when i daydream, it’s about my stories. i’ll write “snippets” and such but when i sit down to write i just let it flow. idk…its hard to explain and i should probably be waaayy more organized but i get bored halfway through when i try to outline i’m sorry.

24. what has inspired you lately?

music always inspires me! for the project/novel i’m currently trying to write the red riding hood soundtrack has been inspiring me (but that has no indication of what it’s about). also if a book i recently read really moves me than i’ll be more inspired to write more. 😊

25.  how much effort do you spend on establishing a certain “aesthetic” in your work?

Again, I don’t know why the tag isn’t working :( But thank you so much for tagging me! Also, it is driving me CRAZY, what’s the1904 poor little rich girl TV show?? 

There’s the genius billionaire in a high-tech suit, the 40s war hero, the god of thunder, the green monster, and the assassins- this is about the guys behind those guys 

He and his squad can solve every mystery except one- how to grow up 

He’s got a year to learn all the elements, but I believe he can save the world

She’s moved across country to a small town in California where her ex-boyfriend just so happens to live- yeah, she’s got no underlying issues to address

They save Paris from evil butterflies every day, but confessing their love to their crushes is a lot harder than they thought

Young adult! It’s the genre/age-group I’m most familiar with!

2: What genre do you write?

My current WIP is fantasy/fable, but I’ve written some contemporary and I have story ideas in other genres as well!

3: Do you outline according to big ideas or small details?

Definitely big ideas! I have to outline big ideas to find small details lol

4: Which do you prefer–line-editing or plot-revisions?

I like them both equally!!

5: Do you write better with or without deadlines?

Based on all the creative writing classes I’ve took, I’d say with deadlines!

6: What would be the biggest compliment you could hope to receive on your current WIP?

I love getting ANY kind of feedback so I’d love anything, but I hope that somebody would say that they still like serena at the conclusion

7: How long is your current WIP?

It’s around 2 pages right now but that’s because I’ve been really working on plotting and getting to know my characters

8: What author would you be most excited to be compared to?

For this WIP, Tahereh Mafi or Cathrynne M. Valente 

9: What do you struggle most with as a writer?

Accepting that first drafts aren’t going to be perfect and blank page syndrome

for someone to really understand me, i feel like they should read whichwood by tahereh mafi, watch enchanted, and listen to dust and ashes from natasha, pierre & the great comet of 1812

3. list your fandoms and one character from each that you identify with.

i’m not really sure what media has a “fandom” anymore so this is going to be short: elsa from the disney fandom, tonks from the harry potter fandom, anya from the anastasia/anastasia musical fandom, and mary margaret/snow white from once upon a time and nesta from the acotar series even though i don’t enjoy their series anymore
