Christmas gift for @shuufly and @knightlee-art of their D&D characters, Bale the Halfling Ranger and Ranthi Tiannin the Wood Elf Paladin. In ugly Christmas sweaters, of course! Gotta stay cozy while getting involved with those risky dragon politics. If it looks like they are the same height it’s probably because Bale is riding his caribu mount (not shown).

From the same session as my previous one, in which Ranthi is the only one who speaks Draconic and has to negotiate her way out of the party being consumed by a flightless, half-blind Green Dragon hatchling.

Ranthi is a follower of Bahamut, the good Platinum Dragon, and while she usually prefers to fight her way out of situations, I got the feeling that she sincerely wanted to help Poisontooth (whose nesting conditions were sub-par, leading to the hatchlings being ill and deformed). Of course, Poisontooth’s solution was to have her father, an ancient dragon familiar with forbidden sorcery, to perform a ritual to transmute Ranthi into a suitable new vessel, and that’s sort of where she draws the line.

Especially after hearing about the now-zombified townsfolk on whom the ritual had miserably failed! Spooky.
