just saw some people on pinterest defending mileven by saying “oh it was their first relationship. they were teenagers. it’d be realistic if they didn’t have problems. lumax was toxic too.”
Okay, so, babe, I don’t think you understand the severity of those “problems”. I’ve been 14 and dating, it wasn’t like that. I’ve been 14 and seen other people dating, and if it was like mileven, they broke tf up. not to mention the fact that Jane had known her real name for less than a year before she spent every day making out with Mike. She didn’t know her real name, she was fresh out of a lab, and had no sense of self-identity the first time they kissed. Mike gave her flashbacks and parallels to her abuser and made her feel worthless. He couldn’t say he loved her (without his best friend, who he has a homoerotic relationship with, rubbing his back, telling him to say it). and please don’t get me started on the “oh his parents weren’t vocal about love” or whatever bullshit because the EXACT same story line happened with Nancy and yall agree it’s because she didn’t actually love Steve. do you see what I’m getting at???
Jane should’ve gotten to learn what she liked first and discovered who she was. and mike should’ve tapped that glass closet one more time cause then it would’ve shattered and he would’ve been free
