Find its halfway point by folding it? Or eyeball it I can't tell you what to do

At the halfway point, fold it over into an L shape (the lower side of one arm should be the upper side of the other arm)

Hold it like this

And fold over the sideways arm over the vertical one

(i suggest using both hands unlike what is depicted in the picture. i was using my other hand to take pictures)

Then fold the vertical arm over the horizontal one

Then the horizontal arm over the vertical one

And then the vertical arm over the horizontal one. You get the drill.

Keep going until you get this type of spiral thingie. DO NOT let go of the edges, otherwise it'll all come undone and you'll have to do it again.

Take one of the ends between your thumb and finger

Like so. And then pull out the other edge.

Keep pulling till you have your desir-

Keep pulling till you get a desired rose-like shape. Cut off the excess ribbon.

Now, this rose you have here? It does NOT want to be there. It's barely keeping it together, trying to make its ends meet. So, next step is to help out with that.

Hold the rose firmly with something long. Tweezers would be nice but I don't have them, so I used scissors. In case you do, make sure to not cut the rose accidentally.

Hold the rose over a flame until its ends begin darkening and curling up. Now, it is very likely that it will catch fire. DO NOT PANIC. Just blow it out, or dunk it in water.

Make sure the ends burn and stick together, otherwise you'd have made the poor rose suffer through fire for nothing.

It's gonna look a bit like this

Give the rose as many friends as your heart desires (and ribbon length permits)!
