DnDecember - Class
This one’s a bit more tricky for me. My tastes in class are usually exotic as a direct result of my making the character and then finding what class gives me the best toolset to execute the character’s shtick, this results in my playing a lot of multiclass characters or even doing a custom hybrid in one case. The class I’ve had the most fun playing has been a multiclass fighter-bard but I’ll save that for favorite PC as the class was just a means to mechanically justify what I wanted the character to be able to do. Frankly, I’ve got a soft spot for artificers, in no small part to @iceberg256 and his character Randus; in fact, I’m going to completely blame you, thanks! Part tinkerer, part mage, all awesome. As a history buff and handyman I feel like the class was written for me. The idea of building your character (sometimes literally) around magic items and combining or repurposing them is vastly appealing to me. I love the deep well of flavor possibilities from an arcane class, most of which are fairly specific. Maybe your artificer is a historian who dipped into the museum stash for the greater good or maybe you’re a tomb raider just interested in harnessing the power of the ancients for yourself. I’ve definitely spent the most time creating artificers just for fun, one of these days I’ll get to actually play one in a story/setting in which it makes sense.
