In thinking over what Ralera said, I wondered just a bit why they didn’t take the short way through the the hills that separate Hateno from Lurelin. The path I usually take is to go east of the Singer Cliffs, through Keya Pond, and then start dropping down toward the road that leads to Lurelin.
But I suppose that is a bit more dangerous, with monsters and all. And you probably couldn’t so easily take a wagon that route. On horseback is fine, which is my usual mode of transportation.
